Family dine-in pizza night with bulgogi pizza in Gunpo: Seonmyeonghui

I'd only ever ordered delivery from Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, a well-known pizza spot in Gunpo, so this time I tried eating at the actual store. It's about a 10-minute walk from my house, and since the weather was nice, I walked over with my family.

Eating the pizza fresh out of the oven had a totally different flavor from delivery. Inside, the seats were spaced pretty generously, so we could eat comfortably.

In-house dough made on site, open kitchen

Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza kneads its own dough in-store, which is probably why the crust tastes so good — one of the reasons it's a Gunpo favorite. The store also has an open kitchen, so you can see with your own eyes how clean the prep area and kitchen are, which gave me even more confidence. They also said their special base sauce uses fruit extract and whole tomatoes, and the cheese is 100% natural mozzarella. There was genuinely a generous amount of cheese piled on, and it wasn't salty at all — the overall balance of flavor was great.

For the pizza, I ordered my favorite — bassak bulgogi (crispy bulgogi) pizza.

Eating it warm straight from the store, the cheese felt even softer and the stretchy pull was really nice.

There was plenty of cheese piled on, but it wasn't overly salty, and the bulgogi blended well with the other ingredients.

If you're looking for Gunpo pizza that lets you taste the ingredients together rather than something salty or overpowering, this one should satisfy you.

Grilled chicken, fries, salad, and tteokbokki too

The grilled chicken that came with the set had the grease drained off, so it was light and easy to eat. Since pizza sets can get heavy with a lot of fried food, having a lighter chicken option alongside was nice.

The fries also came out piping hot, and dipping them in ketchup was really good. I feel like I can never stop reaching for fries.

The salad's vegetables were fresh, which was satisfying too. Eating fresh veggies in between the pizza, chicken, and fries made the meal feel a little more balanced.

The tteokbokki was spicier than I expected. But actually, taking a bite of pizza and then a bite of the spicy tteokbokki turned out to be a great combo. Alternating between the soft, savory pizza and the spicy rice cakes meant I never got tired of either and enjoyed both.

We also ordered cream spaghetti to share as a family — with so many menu items, it was fun picking and choosing what to eat.

Baseball on the big wall screen too

There was also a large screen installed on the store's wall. If you like watching sports, it's a great spot to enjoy pizza and beer together — pi-maek style. My husband was watching a baseball game on his phone, and the owner noticed and, without us even asking, thoughtfully switched the screen channel to the baseball game. We got to comfortably watch the game on the big screen while enjoying our meal. The staff were kind too, and the atmosphere was relaxed throughout the meal. I also liked that when we ordered cola, it came in a glass with ice.

Delivery vs. dine-in: what was different

The pizza was delicious even by delivery, but eating it warm straight from the store definitely had its own charm. We ate until we were full with family, walked home along the pleasant streets, and already promised to come back again. If you're looking for good pizza in Gunpo, or want to enjoy pizza you've only ever had by delivery warm and fresh at the store, Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza's Gunpo branch is worth a visit. It was a relaxed family outing with pizza, a variety of sides, and even a sports game to watch.
