Woljeong-ri Beach has clear water and a wide sandy stretch, great for playing with kids! That day the strong wind advisory had lifted but the waves were still high, so we skipped swimming and spent time catching little crabs and sea snails in the rocks with my kid before grabbing lunch nearby. Even now, when I show the photos, my kid still says it was delicious. This is the story of Woljeongri Galbibap, which was a total hit with my kid.
Woljeongri Galbibap hours, parking and how long you wait
Woljeongri Galbibap is open Mon–Fri from 11am to 8pm, with a break time from 3pm to 5pm. Parking is available for about 6 cars in front of the restaurant. Parking aside, there's often a wait here, so it's a good idea to check CatchTable before you go!

I went a bit past lunchtime that day and there was no wait. Lucky!

Woljeongri Galbibap menu and who gets the free kids' meal
Woljeongri Galbibap's menu has the A Set at ₩19,000 (grilled marinated meat + buttered abalone + seafood pancake + 8 side dishes) and the B Set at ₩22,000 (A Set plus spicy marinated crab).

We had to try the spicy marinated crab, so we got two B Sets. The kids have a separate kids' menu, and apparently one free kids' meal per table is provided for kids up to 2nd grade? Isn't that amazing? Since we had two kids, we just added one extra kids' meal (₩4,000).

This is what two servings of the B Set look like at Woljeongri Galbibap. Such a full table, right?!

Since we're in Jeju, I wanted to eat all the seafood I could, but everyone in my family except me isn't a big fan of seafood, so even here in Jeju it's meat! meat! meat! haha. Black pork, galbi, pork cutlet. We just end up hunting down meat dishes everywhere hahahaha.

Half soy-sauce, half spicy flame-grilled meat: is it too spicy for kids?
We ordered the grilled marinated meat half soy-sauce, half spicy, which worked well for both adults and kids to share. The spicy version is about as spicy as Shin Ramyun — fine for adults who can handle that. My 2nd grader found it a bit spicy, so keep that in mind.

The dish the kids finished first: seafood pancake
Another dish the kids raved about was the seafood pancake!!! You can tell from the photo how extremely crispy it looks, right? Crunchy like a chip, fried like a snack — genuinely delicious.

Of everything on the table, this seafood pancake was devoured first haha. The 8 basic side dishes also had a lot of options the kids liked, which was great. From quail eggs to non-spicy bean sprout salad to sweet pumpkin salad — all kid-friendly sides — I really felt like we'd made the right call for lunch with kids near Woljeong-ri.

Buttered grilled abalone at Woljeongri Galbibap
Thanks to (?) my family not eating seafood, I ate both abalones myself. Muahaha.

Grilled in butter, the flavor was incredible. Honestly, it felt almost too good to eat just as a side with rice — this is the perfect drinking snack hahahaha.

Why we ordered the B Set: the spicy marinated crab
The reason I picked the B Set at Woljeongri Galbibap was this spicy marinated crab, and I had high expectations — it did not disappoint, T.T. The sauce isn't spicy and tastes a bit like tteokbokki sauce, which suited my taste even more.

The meat was so plump that mixed into rice, one bowl disappeared instantly!!
What comes with the kids' meal, plus the self-serve side dish bar
Woljeongri Galbibap's kids' meal comes with rice plus soy-sauce grilled meat. Since only one is free per table, we added one more so each kid had their own bowl.

Honestly, even though they're elementary school kids, not many 1st or 2nd graders eat enough to justify ordering a full menu item. I'd been wondering whether we'd have to order a separate dish for them, so having this option provided took the pressure off and made things easier for the kids too.
I also loved that the 8 side dishes could be freely refilled at the self-serve bar.
Next to the self-serve bar there were tongs, scissors, and even a phone stand. Since a lot of families traveling with kids visit here, that's some real thoughtfulness from the owner haha.
The moment my kid brought it over, they immediately set it up and started using it haha. YouTube watching allowed only before the meal!!!!
Large groups should reserve a table ahead
On our way out I noticed reservation seats, so if you want to avoid waiting, booking ahead seems like a good idea. Most tables were 4-seaters, so if you're a big family needing a 6-seat table, reservations seem essential.

If you're looking for a lunch spot to eat with kids near Woljeong-ri Beach, or traveling Jeju with a kid who prefers meat over seafood, this place is worth a visit. Above all, being close to Woljeong-ri Beach, having parking, and offering a free kids' meal for younger kids make it quite convenient for families traveling together.

A recommended lunch spot near Woljeong-ri Beach in Jeju, and a restaurant recommendation for eating with kids near Woljeong-ri!
