Dangjin café for one-shot Americano and castella: MIMI Coffee Mill

I went to MIMI Coffee Mill in Dangjin, Chungnam haha. The weather's been so nice lately, perfect for enjoying an outdoor terrace. The drive there had great scenery too, so visiting felt like a little road trip on top of everything else haha.

MIMI Coffee Mill's address is 1064 Nambu-ro, Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do, and there's a parking lot right in front of the café. Business hours are 10 AM to 9 PM on weekdays, and on September 24, 25, and 26 it's 10 AM to 8 PM.

I wanted to take my time ordering, so I checked the separate printed menu instead. It felt more intuitive and easier for me. The signature menu includes the MIMI Coffee Cream Latte, and there are also items made with local specialties like the Dangjin Hopung Sweet Potato Soft Gelato and Dangjin Bean Sundubu (soft tofu) Ice Cream haha.

They also had gift sets ready. They come wrapped in fancy bojagi (traditional wrapping cloth), so they'd make good gifts for the upcoming holiday too.

Trees on the terrace create natural shade, so it's cool but also has lighting, which made it feel really atmospheric haha.

Indoor space and seating at MIMI Coffee Mill

The indoor space was spacious too, with square and round tables, and the interior had a retro feel to it that really stood out. I really hate hard, backless chairs, but the chairs at MIMI Coffee Mill were comfortable haha. So it's a place you can stay comfortably for a long time without feeling rushed haha.

There were also tables for 2, 3, 4, and groups, so you can enjoy the space matched to however many people you're with.

Dangjin Hopung sweet potato gelato, the top pick of the day

Sweet potato gelato seemed pretty rare, so since it was a signature menu item I ordered it, and it ended up being my top pick among everything I ordered haha.

You could taste the sweetness of the sweet potato, but it wasn't as sickly sweet as some junky ice creams, which made it just right. I think even kids could eat it haha. It's not a common item, so I ordered it out of curiosity, and I ended up really glad I did.

One-shot Americano and latte-art café latte

You can choose one shot or two shots for the Americano. Most cafés give you two shots by default, but sometimes I actually want just one, so I loved that MIMI Coffee Mill lets you choose haha. I went with one shot, and it wasn't too strong, just nutty and delicious haha. The café latte came with pretty latte art too, which made me even happier. The latte had a nutty, flavorful coffee aroma that was really lovely haha.

Chocolate cake, castella and peanut butter cookies

Maybe because I'd traveled a long way, my blood sugar dropped in the afternoon, and the chocolate cake I ordered was really delicious haha.

The castella melted in my mouth when I had it with coffee, and it was really tasty haha. The peanut butter cookie had nuts in it too, so it was nutty and perfect as a snack. The coffee was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the desserts were tasty, so overall I was really satisfied.
