Family of four sharing a mom's set at a Jeju grilled fish restaurant
In short
Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch is a grilled fish Korean restaurant on Yongmun-ro in Jeju, a short drive from Jeju International Airport. Two kids and two adults shared the mom's set (eomma jeongsik: grilled mackerel, stir-fried pork and kimchi stew) and added a single order of braised cutlassfish. The kids stuck with the grilled mackerel while the adults split the cutlassfish and pork, so the set worked well as a family meal for four.

Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch is a grilled fish Korean restaurant at 168 Yongmun-ro, 1st floor, Jeju-si, Jeju-do. Its signature menus are appa jeongsik (dad's set: choice of 2 grilled/braised fish + 1 stew), eomma jeongsik (mom's set: choice of 1 grilled fish + stir-fried pork + choice of 1 stew), keunadeul jeongsik (big son's set: assorted grilled fish + choice of 1 stew), and jageunadeul jeongsik (little son's set: braised cutlassfish with bracken fern + choice of 1 stew).

When you travel around Jeju you end up eating a lot of black pork and other meats, but after a few days you suddenly start craving warm rice with grilled fish and stew. This time, two kids and two adults visited Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch together.
It's close to Jeju airport, so it's a good stop on the first or last day of a trip, and you can get a hearty Korean meal covering grilled fish, braised fish, and stew — so I wanted to recommend it to anyone looking for a good restaurant near Jeju airport. Since we were visiting with kids, we wanted grilled fish for them and also dishes the adults would enjoy, so we mixed and matched a few menu items.
Two kids and two adults eating out near Jeju Airport

Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch has such a wide range of menus — grilled fish, braised fish, stir-fried pork, stew — that it worked well for a family visit. Finding a restaurant kids can actually enjoy on a Jeju trip is surprisingly tricky. Especially when you want something spicy like braised cutlassfish, you often have to plan a separate kids' menu.
We were four in total, two kids and two adults, and it was so much easier to order because there was something for everyone. It turned out to be exactly the restaurant near Jeju airport we needed for a proper Korean meal close to the airport.
What is in each set meal at Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda?

The signature menus at Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch are appa jeongsik, eomma jeongsik, keunadeul jeongsik, and jageunadeul jeongsik. Appa jeongsik is a set for two where you choose one grilled fish and one braised fish; eomma jeongsik is a set for two with grilled fish, stir-fried pork, and a stew.
Keunadeul jeongsik lets you try several kinds of grilled fish — mackerel, cutlassfish, flounder, yellow croaker — while jageunadeul jeongsik comes with braised cutlassfish and bracken fern plus a stew. Since you can pick a set based on what you're craving, it's a nice option if you're hunting for a Jeju grilled fish restaurant but also want a variety of Korean side dishes.
The mom's set combo: grilled mackerel, stir-fried pork and kimchi stew

We chose the eomma jeongsik and added an à la carte braised cutlassfish. Eomma jeongsik is a set for two where you pick one grilled fish, plus stir-fried pork, plus one stew. We ordered the grilled mackerel + stir-fried pork + kimchi stew combination.
Since we were with kids, we picked mackerel for the grilled fish, since it's relatively easy for children to eat, and we liked that the adults could also enjoy the stir-fried pork and kimchi stew together.
Why the grilled mackerel was easy to share with the kids

The mackerel came out grilled to a nice golden brown, and as always, it went perfectly with rice.

Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it was easy to flake off the flesh and give it to the kids with rice. On a Jeju trip with children, it's often hard to share spicy or strongly flavored food, so it was really nice that grilled fish is something the whole family could eat together.

With the kids mainly eating the grilled mackerel and the adults sharing the other dishes, it worked out really well as a family meal option. I'd been thinking only about cutlassfish for Jeju, but getting to properly enjoy grilled mackerel too made me glad we came to this Jeju grilled fish restaurant.
Stir-fried pork and kimchi stew round out the Jeju set meal

Eomma jeongsik doesn't come with just grilled mackerel — it also includes stir-fried pork and kimchi stew. Eating only fish can get a bit monotonous, but pairing it with stir-fried pork made the combination click.

On top of that, having hot kimchi stew too made it the perfect setup for polishing off a bowl of rice.

A bite of mackerel, then rice with stir-fried pork, and when you crave something soupy, kimchi stew! Being able to eat a variety of dishes rather than just one was the biggest strength of the eomma jeongsik.
Adding braised cutlassfish: the right amount of food for four

Coming all the way to Jeju and not eating braised cutlassfish would be a shame. So instead of just ordering eomma jeongsik, we added the à la carte braised cutlassfish. In the end, this combination worked really well for our family of two kids and two adults.

The kids could eat grilled mackerel with rice, while the adults got to enjoy not just the mackerel but also stir-fried pork, kimchi stew, and braised cutlassfish, all in one meal.

Grilled fish and braised fish taste completely different, so having both on the table at once made the meal feel even more generous. If you want both grilled fish near Jeju airport and the braised cutlassfish that's a must in Jeju, I'd recommend adding an à la carte dish to a set menu the way we did.
Is it worth a first or last meal on a Jeju trip?
If you're looking for somewhere to eat near the airport at the start or end of a Jeju trip, I'd recommend Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch.

It's not a place that only serves grilled fish — you can enjoy grilled fish, braised fish, stir-fried pork, and stew all together, which I really liked. Most of all, when visiting with two kids and two adults like we did, it was convenient having the kids mainly eat grilled mackerel while the adults could also share braised cutlassfish and stir-fried pork. If you're craving a hearty meal of warm rice and fish instead of black pork during your Jeju trip, this is a place I'd recommend!
