Then I started wondering, isn’t there something a little more distinctive and different?!!!! Just seeing the words “handmade oranda” and “handmade gwajul” made me so curious about the flavor, haha! Cheongchuni Oranda, for handmade oranda souvenirs from Jeju Dongmun Market, is inside Dongmun Market near the airport! The market was packed with people, but Cheongchuni Oranda was especially bustling with customers even from a distance! I was surprised to see so many international visitors too, haha. A popular spot really is a popular spot, I guess. There were all kinds of customers, from Jeju residents to tourists :)

Choosing handmade oranda, from tangerine to garlic

From tangerine oranda, available only at Cheongchuni Oranda, to nut-topped nut oranda, gamtae (seaweed) oranda, and garlic oranda!! You can choose according to your taste and preferences ~.~ Tangerine and garlic oranda are such distinctive flavors that you can’t find just anywhere, so they really sparked my curiosity, haha!! The four-flavor oranda set costs ₩23,000.

I was really pleased that you can sample the various flavors of oranda and gwajul at Cheongchuni Oranda before buying! You might worry that it won’t suit your palate or that the texture won’t be your thing, but with samples, there’s no risk of making the wrong choice!

Yuzu gwajul and donut-shaped oranda for Jeju souvenirs

Cheongchuni Oranda’s gwajul (traditional puffed-rice snack) isn’t ordinary gwajul either—it’s yuzu-flavored gwajul, something you can only taste here, so it seemed perfect to take home as a souvenir from a Jeju trip!! The square and round shapes were all different too, making them fun to look at. Yuzu gwajul was an easy price point: ₩5,000 for 5 pieces or ₩10,000 for 12 pieces!!

The donut-shaped oranda immediately caught my eye when I walked in! These cute, donut-shaped oranda are another thing you can only find at Cheongchuni Oranda! With different chocolates and toppings, they offer varied flavors and textures, making them even more delicious and fun—a look kids would absolutely love!

It struck me that our traditional hangwa (Korean confectionery), oranda, has been transformed into so many flavors and could be a chance to introduce Korean traditional sweets to visitors from all over the world as Jeju souvenirs! It seemed hugely popular with international tourists as well as Koreans—the owner was amazingly good at English, Chinese, and Japanese, haha. The donut oranda came in Hallabong citrus, green tea, peanut, carrot chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, black sesame, yellow cheese, chocolate, and coconut flavors.

Gift sets that are easy to share in several places

The gift-set packaging had cute characters too, so it would make a perfectly nice gift! The prices felt reasonable, which made it easy to buy presents for several people without feeling burdened. I was very happy with that.

I also loved that you can pick and eat items one by one according to your preferences, from donut-shaped oranda and yuzu gwajul to classic oranda! There was also a bulk bag containing only oranda; at ₩12,000 per bag, it looked like a reasonably priced option for the whole family to enjoy together at home.
