Cheongchuni Oranda souvenirs at Jeju Dongmun Market

For the final stop on our Jeju babymoon, we visited Dongmun Market, which is relatively close to Jeju Airport, before heading to the airport! While wondering what to buy as a Dongmun Market gift, I stopped by Cheongchuni Oranda, a traditional snack shop, for presents for family and friends. If you are looking for a Jeju gift that is not too common but is easy to share, I recommend Cheongchuni Oranda as a Jeju specialty gift.

A great Dongmun Market stop before heading to the airport

It is perfect for stopping by the market to browse Jeju foods and souvenirs before going to the airport on your final day, then picking up your gifts last. Handmade oranda that is easy to take along

Inside Cheongchuni Oranda with handmade oranda

Cheongchuni Oranda, perfect for a Jeju Dongmun Market gift, had so many handmade oranda—traditional puffed-rice snacks bound with syrup—with different ingredients added! The most important thing for me when choosing a Jeju gift was finding a snack that would be easy to take along.

Packaged oranda that is easy to put in a bag

Jeju’s signature fruits, such as tangerines and hallabong, are lovely too, but people often send them by delivery when storage and transport are involved, right?! Oranda, on the other hand, comes packaged, so it was easy to put in my bag and share with family and friends after getting home!!

Oranda in assorted flavors made with Jeju ingredients

Cheongchuni Oranda does not only have the basic oranda flavor. It uses a range of ingredients you can find in Jeju to make many different flavors, so it was fun choosing and eating them one by one!!

Donut oranda and yuzu gwajul

So many varieties of oranda at Cheongchuni Oranda~~ They were selling all kinds that are hard to taste on the mainland, including donut oranda, yuzu gwajul (a traditional crispy rice snack), nut oranda, and maneul (garlic) oranda.

Oranda flavors including hallabong, green tea, and chocolate

There are so many oranda flavors that children would enjoy too: hallabong, green tea, peanut, carrot chocolate, cookies and cream, black sesame, yellow cheese, chocolate, coconut, and more.

Taste first and choose a Jeju gift to suit your taste

Today~~ I bought a variety of treats from Cheongchuni Oranda, a recommended Jeju Dongmun Market souvenir shop :) They also sell handmade Jeju gwajul, and it was wonderfully chewy and crisp!! Chuseok is coming up soon, so I think these would make such nice gifts for parents or friends :)

Because everything is handmade and produced fresh daily, you can enjoy soft handmade oranda that is not hard.

There are so many varieties, but do not worry even if you cannot decide what to buy~~

Jeju specialty oranda for a parents’ gift

After returning from Jeju, I wanted to give my parents a special gift besides tangerines and hallabong, and they were so happy to receive Cheongchuni Oranda as a Jeju specialty gift!

Oranda and gwajul to share with family and friends

With oranda and gwajul in many flavors, it is perfect as a Jeju Dongmun Market souvenir gift. Dongmun Market is close to Jeju Airport, making it convenient to buy gifts on your final day, and I recommend visiting Cheongchuni Oranda if you are wondering what Jeju specialty gift to choose :)
