Inside Myeonjumak near Eco Land, and where to park

I hurried and arrived before opening. Myeonjumak Jeju felt grand with its lot for over 100 cars and spacious interior — easily large enough to handle groups and families.

On the far right was a large souvenir shop connected to the restaurant, which made it convenient to browse after eating — the layout is clearly built for tour buses coming and going.

A staff member showed me to a nice, cool seat. Besides clean noodle dishes, Myeonjumak has various noodle options topped with conch, abalone and more.

Myeonjumak is a restaurant where thoughtful touches showed up everywhere I looked.

Baby chairs, a microwave, even chargers — everything's ready. The restaurant is spacious with easy parking, and they even offer free noodles for children under 36 months!
What's on the menu at Myeonjumak, near Saryeoni Forest Path

Even at a glance the kitchen looked spotless, and a good smell was already drifting out. Noodles, soup rice dishes, dombe pork (sliced boiled pork) — lots of mild, light options that are easy on the stomach.

Dombe pork is made with 100% Jeju black pork. It also comes as a generous samhap (three-way combo) with abalone or conch, so this looked like a great place to come back for makgeolli (rice wine) in the afternoon too.

Water comes as radish tea. It has a mild flavor that's supposed to help digestion, so I downed two cups. I also noticed hallabong (Jeju citrus) juice on the menu — something I'd planned to get at Dongmun Market — so I ordered that too.

I scooped up some of the anchovy broth while waiting for my order, and wow, it was rich. I kept sipping it, thinking this broth would make three bowls of janchi guksu (banquet noodles) easy. Well-fermented kkakdugi (radish kimchi) and kimchi are a must.
There are also extra seasoning powders set out on the table.

What we ordered: black pork noodles, abalone porridge, water dumplings
At Myeonjumak, a restaurant near Saryeoni Forest Path, I ordered Jeju black pork noodles, abalone porridge, and water dumplings.

Abalone porridge at Myeonjumak
Somehow every breakfast in Jeju had been noodles so far, so this abalone porridge was such a welcome sight. It came out with a rich, sticky texture, generously topped with chewy abalone meat.

It wasn't seasoned too strongly, so it'd be great for kids too — I added salt and pepper partway through to bring out even more flavor. The portion was generous and I wondered if I could finish it all, but I scraped the bowl clean.

Water dumplings
I told myself not to go all-in on one meal since I still had lunch and dinner to get through — but then thought, these are moist and easy to digest, and ordered the water dumplings as a side anyway.

Nothing fancy, but a familiar, comforting flavor, and just the right bite-sized shape. These water dumplings made for a satisfying spread all morning at Myeonjumak, an Eco Land-area restaurant.

Jeju black pork noodles, double portion
The noodles stood out with their milky broth — refreshing to slurp down, with a rich bone broth flavor. I rolled up the thick black pork topping with the noodles, which held their bite well, and finished it off in no time.
Noodles digest quickly, but paired with the pork it actually felt filling, and I powered through my morning schedule with energy. This is a great restaurant near Saryeoni Forest Path to stop by for breakfast — the location works perfectly.

The rice at Myeonjumak Jeju is made with red yeast rice, known for helping clean out blood vessels. Mixed into the pork noodle broth it looks even more appetizing, and somehow the rice kept going down even when I was already full.

I helped myself to more banchan (side dishes) from the self-serve bar — the minced chili would go great with dombe pork, but I sprinkled it over the noodles too, and it added a nice crunch.

When dombe pork is ready, and how Myeonjumak looks after travelers
Dombe pork at Myeonjumak, an Eco Land-area restaurant, comes out freshly boiled right at peak mealtime — come at the right time and you'll get it especially tender and delicious. Isn't it great when a place tells you exactly when the pork's boiling time is?
They even offer individually packaged mouthwash, thinking of travelers who'll spend more of their day outside than at their accommodation — Myeonjumak Jeju is genuinely touching in this way. You could really feel the owner's care ♡
The souvenir shop right next door carries not just the usual Jeju trinkets and snacks, but also accessories, cosmetics and generously sized fruit gifts, so it's well worth a look after your meal.
