Busy dining hall at Tteudon Magok Branch during lunch hour

I visited during weekday lunch and there were quite a lot of customers. Plenty of people were dining in, but delivery orders kept coming in nonstop too, so it seemed like a popular lunch spot.

This is the kids' room. Kids can eat pork cutlets, which they love, and then play in the kids' room after the meal, making it a great spot to visit with children. Thanks to this, adults can also enjoy their meal a bit more relaxed.

What's in Tteudon's free unlimited self-bar?

Free self-bar at Tteudon Magok Branch with soup and tteokbokki

Tteudon Magok Branch's free self-bar has soup, tteokbokki, udon broth, and even morning bread with jam. You take a bowl from the basket under the shelf and help yourself to as much as you want.

Ottogi classic soup prepared at the self-bar

This is Ottogi's classic soup. Eating it in a place like this brought back old memories, and somehow it tasted even better for it. 😊

Milddeok tteokbokki at the self-bar

Really delicious-looking milddeok (chewy rice cake) tteokbokki! Tteokbokki and pork cutlet go really well together.

They also serve diced radish kimchi, pickled cucumber, and pickled radish in bowls. Some spaghetti places make you order pickles separately, but Tteudon Magok Branch includes all of this as standard, so it feels generous.

They even have ice cream ready for dessert. There are 4 flavors: yogurt, chocolate, strawberry, and green tea.

The three dishes ordered at Tteudon Magok Branch

  • Cheese pork cutlet ₩13,900
  • Regular pork cutlet ₩12,900
  • Mala stir-fried pasta ₩10,900
Table set with food from the self-bar

First I set the table with food from the self-bar. Wow.. I could get full just eating this. The tteokbokki 👍 The red sauce soaked into the milddeok perfectly, chewy and delicious. I wanted more but held back since I still had the main dishes to eat.

Finally, the regular pork cutlet, cheese pork cutlet, and the new mala stir-fried pasta all arrived.

New mala stir-fried pasta, 10,900 won

Mala stir-fried pasta with beef brisket

My friend loves mala flavors and ordered this, and said it was really delicious. There's even sliced beef brisket (usamgyeop) in the pasta. Great taste and great price!

Tteudon pork cutlet, 12,900 won

The regular pork cutlet comes with salad, corn kernels, and rice on the side, making for a pretty hearty plate. Maybe because it uses domestic pork, the cutlet is thick but still tender, not tough at all. The juicy texture of the meat paired really well with the cutlet sauce. It's tangy-sweet yet rich, matching the meat so well that I wiped the sauce clean too.

Tteudon cheese pork cutlet, 13,900 won

Cheese pork cutlet the same size as the regular cutlet

The most amazing part was the cheese pork cutlet! Cheese pork cutlets are usually on the smaller side, but Tteudon's cheese pork cutlet is about the same size as the regular one, with cheese packed all the way through the inside. Both the regular and cheese cutlets were so good I had trouble deciding which to eat first, but personally I liked the cheese cutlet more. If you love cheese, you have to try this. If you're visiting with someone, I'd recommend ordering one regular and one cheese cutlet to share!

Pork cutlet burger made with morning bread and salad

I spread strawberry jam on the morning bread and added salad and pork cutlet, turning it into a proper pork cutlet burger. Making it this way was a fun twist, and it left me really full, like I'd had a full proper meal.

Finishing off with strawberry and yogurt ice cream for dessert made it feel like I was at a café rather than a restaurant. The ice cream was tastier than expected too, so I got to finish both my meal and dessert in one place. I really enjoyed a great-value lunch at Tteudon, the pork cutlet spot near Magok Station.

By the time I was leaving, the restaurant had quieted down, so I took another photo.

Is lunch at Tteudon Magok Branch worth it?

I meant to have a simple lunch at Tteudon but ended up enjoying a full feast, dessert included, thanks to the free self-bar. If you're visiting Magok Station, Seoul Botanic Park, or the Mia:t9 One Grove branch nearby, I recommend Tteudon, the pork cutlet spot near Magok Station.
