Busan Korean restaurant, evening Naver reservation: Songjeongok
In short
Songjeongok Songjeong Main Branch is an abalone pot rice restaurant on Songjeong Gwanggeogol-ro in Haeundae, Busan. After a walk at Songjeong Beach, we came for dinner and ordered the abalone pot rice set for two (38,000 won), where the side dishes were mild rather than sharp and the gabrisal suyuk (boiled pork collar) and doenjang stew made it a filling meal. Evenings fill up at Songjeongok, so book on Naver before you go.

The building and parking at Songjeongok

The exterior already gives off an upscale vibe!! I parked right in front of the Songjeongok building haha. Great spot if you're exploring Songjeong's restaurants, going on a Songjeong drive, or taking your parents out to eat!
Inside Songjeongok at dinner: why a reservation is a must
Here are some interior shots. We came around dinner time and it was seriously packed haha.

Very fitting for a well-known Songjeong restaurant... We had booked ahead on Naver so we had a table waiting haha. I'd recommend everyone book on Naver ahead of time too!
Songjeongok has a spacious, clean dining room, so it's good for families and also works as a spot to gather with friends! Check the origin labeling board too~
Songjeongok menu and table setting

Here's the menu. We ordered the abalone pot rice set for two~

On the table were paper cups, wet wipes, and a small soy sauce dish. The water is barley tea, and even the water is nutty and tasty haha.
Abalone pot rice set, 38,000 won: side dishes to boiled pork

What comes with the 38,000-won abalone pot rice set for two

Finally here — wow, the visuals are amazing... lots of side dishes and a generous amount overall haha.

Every single side dish was tasty. Nothing was overly harsh or MSG-heavy, it was just genuinely good.

I especially love ganjang gejang (soy-marinated crab), and the seasoned version here was so good T.T. There was also kkomak muchim (seasoned blood cockles)!! And a squid stir-fry that was a bit spicy but delicious haha.

Gabrisal suyuk (boiled pork collar) and doenjang stew
Pork belly bossam (boiled pork slices)!! Can you see the shine on this freshly made bossam...? And since I actually love the fatty part, having more fat was a bonus for me haha.
Oh man... the doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) here is a work of art too. It tastes like something my grandmother would make? So good T.T.

The abalone pot rice: scrambled egg and abalone innards sauce
This was genuinely the best part for me — the abalone pot rice. Inside there's scrambled egg and abalone innards sauce, and it's so creamy, soft, and delicious T.T.

There's a hint of butter aroma and a slight sweetness, absolutely delicious... Songjeongok's abalone pot rice suits adult palates perfectly, and it's perfect for eating with kids too!!

We poured broth over the leftover rice and that was another highlight... it's not just plain water. It's a seafood broth, and the savory depth is unreal T.T.

Who is Songjeongok Songjeong Main Branch best for?
It's been a while since I had such a comforting, filling Korean meal haha. Songjeongok Songjeong Main Branch is the best Korean restaurant in Songjeong! Your parents would love it too if you bring them along. I'd recommend it for a family meal~
Parking is easy, the space is spacious and clean — great!!
