I could see the big ONLY FOR YOU HAIR sign from outside the building, but I still ended up going in the wrong way and wandering around a bit. You need to take the commercial building elevator, not the officetel one — head for the round, transparent elevator.

My hair condition before the cut and perm

The layers were doing their own thing all over, the ends were choppy and uneven, and all the volume in my hair had completely fallen flat.

As soon as I arrived, I changed into a gown and designer Lee Hyun ran the consultation. I'd been considering root volume magic straight perming too, but I was told that needs to be redone about every month, which wasn't a good fit for me since I find upkeep like that a hassle.

And in my case, since my hair is thin in both density and strand thickness, she recommended that creating a C-curl at the ends would suit me better than straightening. So I ended up going with a layered cut plus C-curl perm!! What I really liked was that the style recommendation was tailored to my actual current hair condition — that feels different from other salons.

How the layered cut cleaned up my uneven layers

I didn't want to cut much length off, and too many layers didn't match the vibe I was going for, so we trimmed just a little and did a moderate layered cut. She worked so carefully and precisely on the cut, which I really appreciated — you could tell a lot of care went into it. Everything was trimmed just a bit all over.

After the cut, she sectioned my hair, wound the rods, and did the C-curl perm. Honestly, my hair usually doesn't take perms well, but seeing the finished result, that worry turned out to be pointless. The ends of my hair curled neatly inward into a clear C-curl shape without needing a curling iron at all.

After the cut, the bottom line looked much cleaner, and with a C-curl running through each layer it felt far more put-together. She added curl around the front, sides, and ends.

From the front, both ends curl naturally inward. Even tucked behind the ears, the wave looks natural. My face looks more three-dimensional and full than before, and younger too. It turned into a really cute style.

One thing I really liked was that it didn't end with just the treatment — she explained in real detail how to take care of my hair at home. She went through everything one by one: which direction and how to dry my hair, how to keep the C-curl looking natural, and how to style the front section.

She also showed me exactly how to use roller rods, step by step. I've been following her instructions one by one while styling on my own at home, and it's been a huge help — things like how the style sets once the heat cools down (so that moment matters), and that you don't need overly high heat.
