Yesulhoegwan Station beef bar with Iberico add-on: Sip Sam Dae
In short
Sip Sam Dae is a beef-focused Korean BBQ bar in Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, a short walk from Yesulhoegwan Station. On the owner's recommendation the writer ordered the Premium Set 450g, added two servings of Iberico jingalmaegisal (thin-cut pork skirt), and let the staff grill everything at the table before finishing with the set's eolkeun udae sulbap (spicy doenjang rice soup) and a free dessert. With vents built into the grill so the smoke never lingers and private seating, Sip Sam Dae works equally well for a date or a team dinner.

Time to oil up the belly, go! I don't come to Guwol-dong much, but this time I visited Sip Sam Dae (십삼대), a beef-focused restaurant that's a real Guwol-dong favorite, just for the beef.

Black pork? Hanwoo? Wagyu? I'm going in to demolish it all.
Where is Sip Sam Dae, and is there parking near Yesulhoegwan Station?

This is what the restaurant looked like — it felt more like a beer hall vibe than a typical meat restaurant, which was surprising. And a big plus right off the bat: private seating! Let's go see the meat 🤍

What side dishes come first? Potato salad and pa-jeori scallion salad
We'd reserved ahead so our table was already set up, with scallion salad, pickled onions, potato salad, and other basic side dishes ready to go.

Sip Sam Dae, a beef restaurant that's a Guwol-dong favorite, had great basic side dishes too — especially this salad and the scallion salad, which were so good.

The potato salad didn't taste like something store-bought — it was genuinely nutty and soft, like it was made in-house.

What we ordered at Sip Sam Dae: Premium Set 450g plus Iberico galbisal
We were debating whether to get udae-galbi, but on the owner's strong recommendation we ordered the Premium Set 450g! It was so good that we took another recommendation and added iberico galbisal too, haha.

One unusual thing about Sip Sam Dae — the grill has a built-in fan inside, so there was no smoke while the meat cooked.

Eating beef at a Guwol-dong favorite like this, how could you resist a drink? The driver got cola, and I proudly ordered draft beer!

And then, our beef time arrived 🤍 They showed it to us first and I was blown away... the owner said they'd prepared a good cut for us.

Even someone who knows nothing about meat could tell right away that this was going to be delicious — that's Sip Sam Dae for you.
Straight into my mouth, quick, into my mouth, go.

Can you see how gorgeous the beef looks? The moment I saw it I thought, wow, this would be great to bring family to, or for a work dinner with the company card — I'd be so happy ❤️

The grilling service: staff cook every cut at your table
One of the best things about Sip Sam Dae, a Guwol-dong favorite, is that the staff grill everything from start to finish! Thanks to that, there's no risk of burning good meat, and all we had to do was chat away while waiting.
The staff were incredibly kind... honestly, Sip Sam Dae isn't just about the meat — the service is so good it makes you want to come back.

Meanwhile, delicious beef was sizzling away, along with potato, pineapple, and mushrooms too. You know how insanely good grilled pineapple tastes, right?

Once it's cooked enough, it's just about time to flip.

Then they swoop in, flip it — swoosh — and cut it — swoosh! I want to eat it... I want to eat it right now...
How the staff recommend eating each cut
They cut it into just the right size and recommend that first bite be dipped in only salt and wasabi!
I'm a good listener, so — dip in wasabi! The meat was definitely tender and delicious, and eating it this way really was the best.

The next recommendation was to dip it lightly in their house-made sauce along with the wasabi! That sauce is a real magic trick — it has a hint of yangnyeom-galbi flavor, with such intense umami, but never too salty or too sweet.

This is the scallion salad — eating it together with the meat was delicious too! The scallions themselves were so fresh that even piling them on, there was no spiciness at all.

Sip Sam Dae, the beef restaurant that's a Guwol-dong favorite, even gives the meat a smoky aroma 🤤

There was a reason they kept the charcoal on one side only — cook on the left, and move finished pieces to the right! A great tip — a trick for keeping it warm all the way through without burning.
By this point the mushrooms and pineapple were already finished off, and even the potato was gone. Root vegetables really are delicious...
There was also this radish wrap, which I honestly almost missed because the meat was so good — but I didn't want it to feel left out, so I ate it too.

The hidden menu marinated beef and the set's spicy doenjang rice soup
And finally, they grilled up some seasoned meat for us — don't underestimate it just because it's
