A jokbal spot near Guro Station for our work dinner
Isn't picking a work dinner spot so hard!? Finding somewhere good for everyone to eat together and have a drink is surprisingly tricky ㅍㅍ. So for this work dinner we went to The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch!! I heard it's quietly famous as a jokbal restaurant around Guro and Sindorim, so I booked ahead and went with high expectations!! There's really no better spot for a work dinner haha. The jokbal was delicious and the seats were spacious, so it was perfect for a group!! Let me tell you about The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch, where the side dishes at this Guro Station bar are great too!!
Exterior and accessibility

Arrived at The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch!! I spotted it right away from the main road!! It's on a big street so it's easy to get to, and close enough to the station to walk, which makes it convenient for everyone to gather for a work dinner!? There was even a menu standee at the entrance so I browsed it before going in haha.
Interior seating and ordering system

Inside, there's a big menu on the wall that's easy to take in at a glance!? One section even had 'how to eat jokbal deliciously' written out, which I thought was a nice touch haha lol.

The tables are clean wood-toned, and each table orders through a tablet!! The seats were plenty wide, so it was easy for our group to sit together. The window seats had a view outside, which made it perfect for a work dinner!!
Menu and prices
- Jokbal (pig's trotters): Front leg ₩47,000 / Back leg ₩42,000
- Bossam (boiled pork wraps): Large ₩47,000 / Medium ₩42,000 / Small ₩38,000

The menu board on the wall was big, so it was easy to check the prices!!

There's even a 3-way combo menu.

There are tons of lunch options too, so office workers near Guro Station should take a close look!! haha.
Side dish spread

After ordering, the side dishes and wrap vegetables came out first!! Bean sprouts and bean sprout soup arrived, and having a refreshing broth like that while drinking is so easy on the stomach!?

The wrap vegetables came out fresh too — lettuce, perilla leaves, napa cabbage, and cheongyang chili peppers!!

The perilla leaves especially were big and fresh, perfect for wrapping jokbal!? When the basic setup at a work dinner is this generous, the first impression is already reassuring!! ㅎ

The spicy radish salad was sweet, tangy, and spicy, so eating it with jokbal cut the richness and really woke up my appetite!! There was also chive salad, salted shrimp, and ssamjang (thick dipping sauce) all set up so you could mix and match to taste — great~!!

Garlic and onion were set up too!!

You can't eat jokbal without salted shrimp and ssamjang!

And even a cold mixed dish~!! It was a truly hearty side dish spread haha.
How was the main jokbal?

Finally, today's star, the jokbal, arrives! It came piled high on a brass tray, and the visual alone made my mouth water lol. The skin was glossy and glistening, and the meat had different colors by cut, which looked fun to pick through!!

Up close it looked even more substantial!?

From the chewy skin to the mild meat, every layer was well braised with zero odor and totally tender!!! Topping it with garlic and radish salad and wrapping it in a perilla leaf was genuinely... speechless.

The moment I tasted it, I got it — this is why it's a work-dinner jokbal favorite haha. The portion was generous too, perfect for sharing among several people!!???

The glossy top part was seriously amazing ㅠㅠ.
Finishing with rice balls

Of course, rice balls to finish!!! The rice was topped generously with seaweed and sesame seeds, so it looked nutty and delicious just by sight lol haha.

How was it as a work dinner spot
So that's how we had a hearty meal of jokbal and rice balls at The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch!! Genuinely a top pick for a work dinner haha. The jokbal was tender with no odor and the portions were generous, great for filling up a group, and the side dish and wrap setup was so full that it was perfect as a drinking snack!!
