Indian restaurant in Sillim for a dinner set with naan: India Darbar
In short
India Darbar is an Indian restaurant on the second floor of a building about five minutes' walk from Exit 3 of Sillim Station in Gwanak, Seoul. At a 7:30pm dinner visit, India Darbar's two-person Set B arrived with green salad, boneless tandoori chicken, one curry, naan, rice and sweet lassi, and dipping the warm naan into the curry was the most memorable bite. I'd been craving Indian food for a while, so I went to India Darbar near Sillim Station!
Where is India Darbar and how do you get there from Sillim Station?
India Darbar (인디아 더르바르) is on the 2nd floor of a building at 309 Sillim-ro, Gwanak-gu, Seoul. It's about 5 minutes on foot from Exit 3 of Sillim Station!
What India Darbar looks like from the street

The place is on the 2nd floor, and as soon as I walked in I felt an Indian atmosphere — it felt different, like I'd landed in India haha
Inside India Darbar: the dining room near Sillim Station

Inside India Darbar there are plenty of tables and the space is spacious, so it was comfortable to eat haha. I visited around 7:30pm and about 4 tables were already dining! Customers kept coming in even as I was leaving — I thought, so this is a hit spot haha
Even the water cups had an Indian-style design, which I thought was a nice touch — they really carried the Indian restaurant vibe down to the small details. 🍛
What comes in India Darbar's two-person Set B, and what it costs

I came because I was craving Indian food! This time I ordered the two-person India Darbar Set B. The set came with a green salad, boneless tandoori chicken, one curry, naan, rice, and sweet lassi — a nice variety to enjoy several dishes at once!
Indian food is especially fun because you get to eat curry with naan, and the set was well put together, so I was satisfied haha
The side dishes that come before the meal

Jalapeños, pickled onions, and pickled radish came as basic side dishes! They went really well with the curry and rice!
The main dish: boneless tandoori chicken

The boneless tandoori chicken was also great to eat alongside everything else!! Since it was boneless it was easy to eat, and the spice flavor really let me enjoy that distinctive Indian food atmosphere haha

The best bite of the meal: naan with curry
The dish I enjoyed most was, of course, the naan haha. Maybe because it came out warm, the texture was really good — crisp and light on the outside but still chewy inside, and it went so well dipped into the curry!! The curry's smooth, rich flavor soaked moistly into the naan and I just kept reaching for more. It had a completely different charm from eating it with rice!

The plainness of the rice softened the spice of the curry nicely, so I could really taste the curry itself while still eating it comfortably without feeling overwhelmed!!

Putting the tandoori chicken on the naan and eating it in one bite let me feel both the chewy naan and the moist chicken together, and it was much tastier than eating them separately haha

Naan with curry or rice with curry — which works better?
- If you want to enjoy the chewy texture too, go for naan + curry
- If you want something filling and familiar, go for rice + curry
There was also tandoori chicken inside the curry, so it was quite filling to eat

The sweet lassi included in Set B
The sweet lassi that came with the set was also great to drink alongside the curry haha. After eating spiced food, the sweet, smooth lassi made my mouth feel much cleaner. Think of it as tasting like yogurt(?)!
Is India Darbar's dinner set worth it? Final thoughts

Overall it was great to try a variety of Indian dishes at once, and the combination I remember most was dipping the chewy naan generously into the curry haha. If it's your first time with Indian food, trying a set menu to sample a bit of everything seems like a good idea!
Seeing not only dine-in customers but a steady stream of delivery orders coming in, it seemed like a place people keep coming back to for authentic flavors! Next time I'd like to order the other curries and naan varieties I didn't get to try this time and compare them!
They also give out free naan for a receipt review event, so if you enjoy your meal, it'd be nice to grab an extra one 😊 Next time I want to try the other curries too!
