Today I want to share my visit to That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge, for anyone looking for a nice-atmosphere Italian restaurant in Jungang-dong, Ansan!

You can enjoy everything from pasta to risotto, steak, and course meals here, so it's a great restaurant for dates, anniversary dinners, or family outings too.

This place had already been talked up as a hidden gem by people around me, so I was even more excited going in!

That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge is on the 6th floor of Dongwon Building, 40 Gojan 1-gil, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Hours are 12:00–22:00, with a break time of 15:00–17:00, and both group and individual reservations are available.

For parking, using the Lotte Cinema Central Rock building across the street gets you a ₩2,000 discount, and parking at the public lot in front of the restaurant gets you 1 hour free.

That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge is a restaurant where you can enjoy a wide range of Italian dishes — pasta, risotto, steak, and course meals.

Walking in, you feel a relaxed, calm atmosphere that's a bit different from a typical restaurant. The spacious layout and generous table spacing made it comfortable to eat here.

I thought it would work well for occasions where atmosphere matters, like dates or blind dates, as well as for family meals, anniversaries, or gatherings. The first thing to arrive was the bread! Also, note that you can get a Häagen-Dazs egg tart dessert through a Naver review event 🤗

The restaurant also has a private room, a terrace, and a rooftop garden, so there's fun in exploring the space itself, not just eating.

What is on the menu at That Man's Italian?

Truffle cream paccheri, 20,900 won: loaded with truffle

The first dish to introduce is That Man's Italian & Lounge's truffle cream paccheri, ₩20,900. Paccheri is a wider, plumper tube-shaped pasta than regular spaghetti.

When paired with cream sauce, the sauce clings nicely between the tubes. The distinct truffle aroma added a nutty, deep flavor to the dish. Highly recommended if you like cream pasta.

It's great for enjoying the combination of smooth cream sauce and chewy pasta. The paccheri and cream sauce came together beautifully! There was plenty of truffle piled on top too, which made the flavor really shine.

Squid ink risotto, 23,900 won: deep, inky color

The second dish is the squid ink risotto, ₩23,900. True to its use of squid ink, the deep, dark color really stands out.

It has a charm that's different from a regular cream risotto. Thanks to the striking color, it's also a dish that catches the eye in food photos.

Ordering pasta and risotto together works well and is great for sharing, so keep this in mind if you're visiting as a pair!

Lamb chop steak, 43,900 won: the special-occasion dish

The last dish to introduce is the lamb chop steak, ₩43,900. Being able to enjoy steak alongside pasta and risotto is one of the appeals of That Man's Italian & Lounge.

The lamb chop steak is a great choice for a special day.
