It's located about a 2-minute walk from Exit 5 of Seonyudo Station, so it's really close~ There's a bus stop right in front of the restaurant too, making it super convenient to reach by public transit!!
The huge cauldron greeting you right at the entrance catches your eye too. Even before you walk in, you get the feeling that a rich sundae gukbap broth is simmering away inside
Deundeun Haejanggukbap Seonyudo Station Branch is a great pick if you're searching for a 24-hour gukbap restaurant in Yeongdeungpo, or even a Dangsan Station restaurant. What I liked most here was the unlimited refills of cypress-steamed sundae! That alone is just moving. If you love sundae, this is a place that makes you happy before the meal even arrives
Atmosphere and dining with kids
The sundae gukbap restaurant is super clean and has a nice atmosphere. The restroom was spotless too~ Everything's great!!
On top of that, there's a kids' menu, so it seemed like a great option for dining out with young children too. Since it's a freshly-opened, brand new sundae gukbap restaurant near Seonyudo Station, I liked it even more

I loved being able to grab as much as I wanted at the self-bar!! From kimchi to sundae!

Besides sundae gukbap, there's a wide variety of hot pot dishes too, like cauldron napa cabbage sundae hot pot and cauldron spicy pork intestine hot pot, so next time I want to come with a group and try those!! There are also plenty of anju (drinking food) options like cauldron tofu-kimchi trio and cauldron sundae-intestine jjaglagi. And Deundeun Haejanggukbap has its own fun event — the Wan-tteuk! Challenge!
And personally I really liked that instead of plain water, they serve chilled heotgae tea

If you finish a bowl completely, down to the last drop of broth, apparently the bottom of the bowl reveals a 'winner' or 'hearty' image, and if you get 'winner', the meal is free!
Isn't that seriously clever? You get to eat well and enjoy an event on top of it, adding extra fun to a single bowl of gukbap. So I quickly placed my order. There were so many tempting menu items I agonized for a while. In the end I ordered the pork gukbap set with tteokgalbi, plus a basic sundae guk
But the tteokgalbi looked so good that I ended up ordering more! And since the cypress-steamed sundae is unlimited refills, I thought I'd just have a little taste before the rice arrived, but it was so good I ended up eating way too much. Especially that perilla-sauce combo — chojang loaded with ground perilla seeds plus sesame oil — that's basically cheating~ Dipping the sundae in it is so good! I was shocked

On the table, ground perilla seeds, salted shrimp, dadaegi (spicy chili paste), salt, and pepper are all neatly set out, served in polished brass bowls. As soon as the sundae guk arrived, I loaded it up with salted shrimp and ground perilla seeds!! Deundeun Sundae Gukbap, packed with head meat and Byeongcheon-style sundae, is a truly hearty bowl just like its name says! The combo of rich broth with the nutty pop of perilla seeds was so good!! Love perilla seeds
From the unlimited cypress-steamed sundae to the side dishes made with real care, all the way to the richly simmered sundae gukbap, this was a place I could enjoy a truly hearty meal!
Why I want to come back again
Next time I definitely need to try the cauldron hot pot dishes and go for the Wan-tteuk!
