Iseon Hwaduk Jokbal Bossam Myeongil Branch is a Korean restaurant near Myeongil Station in Gangdong, Seoul. We paired half wood-fired jokbal and half bossam with makguksu and Gorgonzola pizza, and large dogs and babies are welcome. A Myeongil Station jokbal restaurant that welcomes large dogs too
Not just small dogs—large dogs can visit too, making this place heaven for pet families! Clean baby-only spoons and tableware are ready to go as well, so you can enjoy a comfortable meal with little ones!
Half wood-fired jokbal, half bossam, and side dishes

I ordered the half wood-fired jokbal (pig's trotter), half bossam (boiled pork wraps) platter, and received makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) and Gorgonzola pizza through a review event!

The ultimate crispy-outside, juicy-inside experience! Just look at it...

Wood-fired jokbal with a gentle smoky aroma
Once I sat down, I ordered their signature wood-fired jokbal without hesitation! Because it is grilled directly in a wood-fired oven, it arrived looking beautifully golden and glossy, with a gentle smoky fragrance 😱

The moment I picked up a piece and took a bite... wow, I immediately understood why people say wood-fired jokbal is an absolute must!! The skin was unbelievably crispy yet chewy, while the meat was packed with juices—so soft and moist that it melted in my mouth 😭
The savory flavor and clean richness that built with every chew meant I simply could not put my chopsticks down 👍

What happens when you wrap jokbal in Gorgonzola pizza?
The truly unexpected best move here was wrapping jokbal and Gorgonzola pizza together!!

Top a hot, freshly baked Gorgonzola pizza—sweet, savory, and nutty—with a chewy piece of wood-fired jokbal, and... you get to experience a whole new world of sweet-and-salty deliciousness 🍯 The salty meat, rich cheese, and sweetness came together so perfectly. It was a total delicacy!!

Refresh your palate with a generous bowl of makguksu
And the makguksu that no meat restaurant meal should be without was so incredibly generous that it caught me by surprise 😱

It was loaded with crunchy cabbage and lettuce, springy noodles, and plenty of spicy-tangy sauce—the perfect side dish for totally refreshing a rich, oily palate!
A spacious dining space for dogs and children
Even at dog-friendly restaurants, large dogs are often restricted, which is always disappointing. So I was genuinely touched that this place allows even large dogs 🐾 The dining room is so spacious that you can come with your pet and eat comfortably without feeling self-conscious!

What is more, baby-only spoons and tableware are thoughtfully provided for parents visiting with young children, so the owner's care and good sense shine throughout the restaurant 👏

It is a wonderful space where everyone—from young to old, and even our doggie at home—can spend a happy time together!

From smoky, crispy-outside and juicy-inside wood-fired jokbal to sweet, nutty Gorgonzola pizza and generous makguksu, Iseon Hwaduk Jokbal Bossam had a perfectly matched spread! The wide, pleasant dining room, large-dog access, and thoughtful touches such as baby spoons made this a place I enjoyed from start to finish 💖
