Itaewon 24-hour pork bone restaurant: Nuri Maeul Gamjatang
In short
Nuri Maeul Gamjatang Itaewon Branch is a gamjatang and braised pork bone restaurant near Itaewon Station in Yongsan, Seoul. We added cheese to the small soy sauce braised pork bones, and the huge bones, noodles, and complimentary gamjatang broth made a seriously filling meal. Verdict: a great late-night stop for a hearty pork bone feast.

A 24-hour gamjatang restaurant one minute from Itaewon Station

I went shopping in Itaewon with a close younger friend, and we were suddenly craving gamjatang (pork bone soup) for the first time in ages. While looking up Itaewon gamjatang and good restaurants in Itaewon, we found Nuri Maeul Gamjatang Itaewon Branch (누리마을감자탕 이태원점). The portions were big and generous, so it is great value for Itaewon too. They also have plenty of single-bowl options, like pork bone hangover soup, so it looked perfect for eating alone in Itaewon! 💛
Nuri Maeul Gamjatang Itaewon Branch
It is on Itaewon's main street, so it is easy to find—and you can see it as soon as you come out of Itaewon Station. It is in such a convenient spot for public transport that it would make a great second-stop bar snack spot in Itaewon too! 🍻 Best of all, it is open 24 hours, so it seems ideal for stopping by for hangover food before heading home. ><

Spacious seating for group gatherings too
The restaurant is quite spacious. There are all kinds of seats, from tables for two and four to group tables, so it is great for a gathering in Yongsan! Full private rental is available for groups of 60 or more, while partial rental is available from 40 people, making it a good choice for Yongsan work dinners and group meetups too. There is also a section with sofa seating, which seems comfortable for family meals.

A self-service bar and varied meal options
There is a self-service bar on one side of the restaurant, where you can comfortably help yourself to side dishes such as fresh kimchi, pickled onions, green chili peppers, and kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi).

Along with signature dishes such as gamjatang, braised pork bones, grilled pork bones, and mala gamjatang, there are meal options including galbitang (beef short-rib soup), kongguksu (noodles in chilled soy milk broth), naengmyeon (cold noodles), and spicy stir-fried pork. It seems like a good place for anyone looking for lunch in Itaewon too.

Small soy sauce braised pork bones with extra cheese
We ordered the small soy sauce braised pork bones, extra cheese, steamed rice, Sprite, and Coke. Two of us ordered the small size, but we were shocked by how generously it came out! Totally deserves its great-value Itaewon restaurant status!

The bones in particular were enormous. There were several so large they felt heavy even when lifted with chopsticks, with plenty of meat clinging between them.

The soy sauce seasoning had soaked in with a sweet-and-salty flavor, making it great with the meat. It also came generously packed with rice cakes, sujebi (hand-torn dough flakes), and glass noodles, so it was fun picking out each one. The glass noodles were especially delicious to me—so wonderfully chewy after soaking up all that sauce.

Extra cheese makes it even richer
And I totally recommend adding cheese! 🧀 There was a generous layer over the braised bones, and eating it together added a rich, creamy softness to the salty soy sauce seasoning.

We are weak with spicy food, so we ordered the regular spice level—and it was not spicy at all.

Gamjatang broth served alongside the braised bones
Apparently, this is a gamjatang specialty brand with 22 years of tradition. When you order the braised bones, gamjatang broth comes with it as a complimentary service. 🍲 There was so much broth that it hardly felt like a free extra! The hot gamjatang broth and braised bones are a perfect match.

My friend is a solids person, while I am a broth person, haha. Next time, I need to come back for their gamjatang, known for its rich broth simmered for over six hours.
Huge bones, generous add-ins, and extra cheese make it perfect 👍🏻 🧀 Even with the small size, two women could eat until we were completely full, so I recommend it as a great-value Yongsan restaurant too. It is just right if you are looking for a 24-hour restaurant in Itaewon for a late meal, or want to enjoy a hearty braised pork bone dish near Itaewon Station.
