Rainy-day window views at Yellow Farm, a Gyeongju café

In short

Yellow Farm Gyeongju is a café in Yonghwang-dong, Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, with expansive windows and generous parking. On a drizzly day, this couple had avocado coffee, 5,900 won watermelon juice, and cheesecake, with the real-watermelon flavor of the chilled juice being the standout. Verdict: a lovely quiet date café away from Gyeongju’s crowds.

Yellow Farm Gyeongju signature menu and window-side view

If you come to Gyeongju, you absolutely have to visit a café!! There are lots of pretty cafés around Hwangridan-gil and the Bomun complex too, but they’re always crowded, and parking is especially difficult on weekends, so I don’t tend to go thereㅠㅠㅠ Then I found this great date café where you can enjoy a quieter, distinctly Gyeongju-like atmosphere, so I had to visit haha. Here’s my honest review of Yellow Farm!! 😃

Getting to Yellow Farm in Yonghwang-dong, Gyeongju, and parking

Directions to Yellow Farm in Yonghwang-dong, Gyeongju

Yellow Farm is in Yonghwang-dong, Gyeongju. It’s only about 10 minutes from downtown, so I highly recommend it to anyone who dislikes busy places!!

The building is huge and has a sign with a yellow sun, so even on a first visit, it was easy to spot right away.

Dedicated parking lot beside Yellow Farm
Large gravel parking area

There’s a large dedicated gravel parking lot right beside the café, so being able to visit without worrying about parking is a huge advantage among Gyeongju cafés 🅿️

A modern, spotless café interior

The inside of the café was TOP❗ I loved the stylish atmosphere created by its super-clean, modern interior 🤍 Everything gleamed like a newly built space, so it felt hygienic and clean—100 points.

Kiosk ordering area and café interior

Ordering was easy at the kiosk, and the menu was so varied that my husband and I spent ages deciding 🫠🫠🫠 I was really craving mango bingsu (shaved ice dessert), but we had dinner plans soon, so I held back and went for drinks instead..🥹

It was drizzling that day, and looking outside through the expansive windows felt so atmospheric and romantic 🌿🌳 I was sad that it rained on our Gyeongju trip, but the mood was so nice that I actually loved it(?)

Yellow Farm is known for its mango bingsu, and seeing the many desserts and fresh fruits prepared there made me trust it even more haha. Being able to see them with my own eyes made it feel even more reliable!!

Finally, the main menu 〰️〰️〰️

Avocado coffee, watermelon juice, and cheesecake

Oh my goodness 💚💚💚💚💚 Isn’t it all so pretty? 🫶 The menu was beautiful, and with the lush green backdrop outside too, I loved this verdant scene you can enjoy in Gyeongju.

The cheesecake was chewier and nuttier than at other cafés, so I kept reaching for it even though I’d just had a filling meal hahaha. There’s a separate stomach for meals and desserts, after all 😋

Chewy cheesecake dessert

Next up, avocado coffee..! I love avocado personally, so this was a first-time drink I wanted to try. At first I was like, huh...? What....? But it kept making me want more hahaha. A little tip: don’t mix it—scoop up the avocado separately and drink the coffee underneath on its own. It tasted better that way haha.

Lastly, watermelon juice🍉🍉 After drinking a little too much the night before(?) I desperately needed hydration, and it was so cool and refreshing that I nearly downed it in one go. It tasted like actual watermelon, not syrup, so it was exactly my kind of drink. It was such a wonderful place to relax with a coffee while looking at the green scenery. Yellow Farm had not only lots of drinks but also plenty of desserts—definitely a Gyeongju café dessert spot 🙆♀️
