The weather has been so lovely lately that I went for a walk along Gyeongui Line Forest Park. I got peckish while walking, so I stopped by a bake shop nearby that I’d had my eye on. It was <Fluffy Bake Shop>!

That cute shell-shaped sign catches your eye even from afar! You can tell right away that this is a madeleine specialist, can’t you?

A cozy little shop in white and wood tones
The shop is small, but its white and wood tones made it feel very clean and warm.

There are seats inside if you want to eat there, and they sell drinks, too. Cute little objects are dotted around the shop, which made looking around fun. They even have these adorable miniature pieces! 😍

The baked-goods lineup, from madeleines to canelés
Now, for the most important part: baked-goods shopping time! 😋

The display case had so many gorgeous baked goods, including madeleines, financiers, canelés, and egg tarts. I went at around 5 p.m., and almost everything was sold out, so there weren’t many choices left. I recommend going early, everyone.
I recently tried making madeleines and financiers myself. Maybe that’s why I looked at them more closely. (Making them is fun, of course… but it reminded me once again of the undeniable truth that buying them is so much easier—and delicious 😂)
The cute, round salt bread also looked so tempting! I took a quick photo of the menu, too. There’s quite a nice variety of drinks as well.

I packed a variety of canelés, madeleines, financiers, and tarts, then headed to Gyeongui Line Forest Park.

A quick proof shot holding the bag with its cute sticker! 📸 On a beautiful day, baked goods eaten on a forest-path bench really taste like heaven.

How were the cream madeleine and canelé?
Ingredient quality: The moment I took a bite, I thought, “Wow, they really use good ingredients here!” The butter aroma was so rich, with none of that artificial taste at all.
Madeleine (filled with cream!): What makes Fluffy Bake Shop’s madeleines special is the cream inside! Sweet cream and the soft cake came together beautifully, making them taste far richer than an ordinary madeleine.
Financier: The textbook version of chewy outside, moist inside! The more I chewed, the more nutty butter flavor came through, and I enjoyed it so much.
Canelé: Honestly, I can’t even bring myself to make canelés at home. (The molds are expensive, and the process is complicated 😅) I was so happy to have a proper canelé for the first time in ages. Its crisp exterior and moist, soft interior were superb.

My overall verdict after trying baking myself
After baking myself, I was reminded of just how much care goes into making baked goods of this quality. Fluffy Bake Shop was truly satisfying: it brings out the natural flavors of its ingredients while offering something distinctive of its own, like the cream-filled madeleine. If you’re taking a walk at Gyeongui Line Forest Park, I definitely recommend stopping by for some delicious baked goods and a happy moment! 🥰
