Suwon café for fresh orange juice and fruit sando: Jo Hui-tak Coffee

I was looking for a café near Ajou University where I could have coffee and delicious desserts too, so I visited Jo Hui-tak Coffee (조희탁커피). They have not only drinks but also a wide range of desserts, including cakes and sando, so lots of people come here as a great dessert spot near Ajou University.

Exterior

Jo Hui-tak Coffee is in an alley near Ajou University. It looks small from the outside, but the interior was actually quite spacious.

There were lots of seats dotted around inside.

There are group tables like this too. There was even a group visiting when we went. And since there are seats that are great for sitting alone, it is a good café to visit solo as well!

There are also spaces for two to four people.

And more solo seats facing the wall.

There is a cozy corner seat like this too. This spot seemed really popular!

Decaf options and dessert menu

Menu

Here is the menu. There are so many drink options. I ordered fresh orange juice, while my pregnant friend changed her iced Americano to decaf. Since you can switch to decaf, it is a nice place for pregnant visitors too. We also ordered fruit sando and fig cake.

Aren't there just so many cakes that look amazing?ㅠㅠ I ordered delivery from here before too, and the strawberry cake was so good! Next time, I want to try the chocolate banana cake!

And sando (Japanese-style fruit-and-cream sandwiches), too... dessert lovers will lose their minds. There is no reason not to come to Jo Hui-tak Coffee, a great dessert spot near Ajou University!

Self-service bar

The self-service bar has water, napkins, wet wipes, and paper cups.

They even have coffee beans made in collaboration with Jeong Ji-young Coffee..! For anyone from Suwon, a collaboration with the well-known Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters is such a big deal.

They were selling Suwon merchandise too!

Even the pager had such cute hand-drawn illustrations. I loved these little cute touches throughout the café.

Food

Finally, our fresh orange juice, iced Americano (decaf), fruit sando, and fig cake arrived! They looked so pretty from the start ㅠㅠ

My friend said the decaf iced Americano was cool and had the familiar taste of a standard iced Americano! And the fresh orange juice was made by squeezing real fresh oranges, and it was so, so, so delicious. I still think about it and want to have it again!!

The fruit inside the fruit sando was really delicious! When the fruit is good, you know the flavor is guaranteed.

The fig cake was not overly sweet, just nicely sweet! I think it would be good with a sweet drink too. The figs were fresh, and I loved getting bites of the fruit flesh.

Restroom

The restroom is inside the café, so it is convenient to use.

Overall review of Jo Hui-tak Coffee

Jo Hui-tak Coffee was a café where it was lovely to enjoy coffee and dessert together. There was an especially wide variety of desserts, so it was fun choosing cakes, sando, and more according to your taste, while the drink menu also offered plenty of choices from basics to signature drinks.

The café was more spacious than expected and had varied seating, so it was nice for visiting alone or chatting with friends. It was also a great place to take a little break. However, because it is in an alley, parking is difficult, so I recommend parking at Uman-dong Public Parking Lot.

There are group tables too, so it seems like a good café for groups. If you are visiting as a group, I recommend reserving ahead! If you are looking for a great dessert spot near Ajou University for sando, cakes, and more, I highly recommend Jo Hui-tak Coffee.
