After checking out pop-ups in Seongsu-dong, we were looking for a café where we could take a little break, and that is how we ended up at T Coffee in Seongsu! We visited several pop-ups around Seongsu-dong that day, and maybe because it was the weekend, there were seriously so many people. There are lots of pretty cafés on Seongsu-dong’s café street too, but places with too many people seemed like they might feel a little hectic, so we looked for somewhere we could sit quietly. That place was T Coffee.

Location guide for T Coffee in Seongsu

We did not bring a car that day; we walked everywhere while visiting pop-ups around Seongsu-dong. We also walked from Seongsu Station to T Coffee, and it took about 7 minutes from Exit 2. It is not a café right next to Seongsu Station, but it was not an inconvenient walk either. If anything, because it is a little removed from the busy Seongsu hot-spot area, it felt much quieter once we arrived.

Entrance to T Coffee on the first basement level

T Coffee was located on the building’s first basement level! As soon as we went down to B1, we could see the café entrance.

The atmosphere at T Coffee in Seongsu

Softly lit, calm interior of T Coffee

Because it is a basement café, I first wondered if it might feel a bit stuffy, but once we went inside, the space was larger than expected. Rather than being bright and flashy overall, it had soft lighting and a calm atmosphere.

There were green plants by the windows, and the view outside through the floor-to-ceiling glass gave the space a relaxing feel. A long bench ran along the window, and people were sitting alone, reading or listening to music and enjoying a leisurely moment~

The tables were spaced generously too, from seats where four people could sit together

to a variety of tables that were great for having coffee alone or using a laptop. There was seating toward the back as well as in front of the ordering counter!

The coffee-making area was open and placed in the middle of the café,

T Coffee menu and what we ordered

The menu was not huge; it was kept simple and centered on coffee.

There were also about four kinds of desserts,

Chosen chocolate sandwich cookie dessert

For dessert, we chose the chocolate sandwich cookie,

and for drinks, we ordered cold brew and lemon ginger sparkling.

Drinks ordered with a chocolate sandwich cookie

The cold brew was clean and easy to drink, and it went nicely with the chocolate sandwich cookie~ The lemon ginger sparkling had both the fresh flavor of lemon and the aroma of ginger, so I think it would be a good choice for anyone wanting something lighter and fresher than coffee.

T Coffee, a good place to rest after walking around Seongsu-dong

T Coffee is not directly in front of Seongsu Station, but it is about a 7-minute walk from Exit 2, so it was an easy place to visit on a day spent walking around Seongsu-dong like we did. Most of all, it is a little away from Seongsu-dong’s busiest hot-spot area, so I think it would suit people looking for a quiet, calm café rather than one that is too crowded. We had been walking around visiting pop-ups all day and wanted to rest somewhere quiet with drinks, and the interior was roomier than expected with plenty of seating, so we relaxed comfortably before heading to our next stop. If you are looking for a café to take a quick break after pop-ups or shopping in Seongsu-dong, definitely visit T Coffee, which you can reach on foot from Seongsu Station.
