An honest, unsponsored review of Sindorim Sambaekga's bossam and kalguksu. We were looking for somewhere good to take the kids for bossam on a weekend and found Sindorim Sambaekga! It's on the first floor of the Prugio 1st shopping complex, known as the holy land of Sindorim eats, so it was easy to find~ I'd walked past it plenty of times without going in, but today I finally decided to bring the kids haha.
Is Sindorim Sambaekga comfortable with kids?
✔ Strength 1. A sleek, clean interior & high-quality cooking from a Chosun Hotel chef! The moment I stepped into Sindorim Sambaekga, the tidy, well-maintained interior made an impression on me~ When eating out with kids, cleanliness and atmosphere are the first things I check, and this place passed with flying colors! Plus, knowing the dishes were perfected over years by a chef formerly of Chosun Hotel got my expectations way up before we even ate haha.
Self-serve bar: persimmon geotjeori and yeolmu kimchi refills
✔ Strength 2. Tidy side dishes and the endless joy of the self-serve bar! Persimmon geotjeori and yeolmu kimchi! We ordered the set menu with a large bossam and kalguksu together for a generous meal! After ordering, the clean, well-arranged side dishes and carefully made sauces were set out — the presentation alone stood out~ But the hidden star of this place was really the homemade kimchi at the self-serve bar! The sweet, flavorful persimmon geotjeori and the crisp, refreshing yeolmu kimchi were genuinely amazing ㅠㅠ The kimchi was so good I kept going back to the self-serve bar for refills throughout the meal — the side dishes alone were already a perfect score~
How the large bossam and garlic sauce taste
✔ Strength 3. Steaming hot, moist and tender bossam with sweet-and-sour garlic sauce! The large bossam at Sindorim Sambaekga arrived without much of a wait, still steaming hot — the visual alone was perfect! The moment I took a bite, I couldn't help but gasp — there was zero gamy smell, and it was packed with juices, moist and tender on a whole other level haha. It's delicious just picked up plain, and just as good wrapped in fresh lettuce ㅠㅠ The special garlic sauce that came with it was sweet, tangy, and a little sharp, lifting the pork's flavor even higher — completely my taste!
The kalguksu in the set that the kids loved
✔ Strength 4. Deep broth flavor that made even the kids fall for the kalguksu! The kalguksu that came with the bossam set was in no way inferior to a standalone dish — it was just as well made! Our kids were completely hooked on this kalguksu's flavor and couldn't put their chopsticks down haha. The broth was deeply simmered and packed with savory flavor, and every sip felt like it soothed the stomach~ If you're looking for a good lunch spot near Sindorim, this kalguksu alone is worth a 200% satisfying visit!
