Guro jokbal restaurant: 46,000₩ front-leg jokbal à la carte, Sambaekga
In short
Sindorim Sambaekga is a jokbal (braised pig's trotter) and bossam restaurant tucked into the shopping alley of the Sindorim Prugio 1st Complex in Guro, Seoul. One order of the sambaek jokbal (front-leg jokbal) at 46,000₩ came with a restrained herbal aroma, chewy skin and meat that was tender all the way through, plus sireagi-guk (dried radish green soup) and free barley rice with unlimited refills. Even at 5pm only one seat was left at Sindorim Sambaekga, so booking ahead is the safer plan.

Why Sindorim Sambaekga is now the jokbal pick in Sindorim
I had the samback jokbal (front-leg jokbal) at Sindorim Sambaekga for ₩46,000. From now on, this is my go-to for Sindorim jokbal and bossam. I'm genuinely picky about how I describe taste, so trust me on this one. There's a reason people keep coming and the place stays packed. The jokbal itself was just so good, totally my style. Photos of the jokbal are further down the post.

I found a genuinely, seriously delicious jokbal place near Sindorim. Not exaggerating, the herbal medicine smell wasn't overpowering, just a faint hint, and the flavor was just salty enough while staying tender with zero dry patches. I enjoyed every bite the whole way through. They only serve front-leg jokbal here, which I also loved — front-leg is the only way to go with jokbal.
Sindorim Sambaekga location, hours and why a reservation is essential
Sindorim Sambaekga sits inside the Sindorim Prugio 1st Complex shopping strip. Hours run from 11am to 9:40pm, with a break time from 3pm to 4pm. Tap the map and book a reservation before you go, no question. If you show up after work you'll be stuck waiting for a table.
From this photo, go in one alley, turn left, and Sambaekga — the delicious Sindorim jokbal and bossam spot — comes right into view.

I showed up around 5pm, right after break time ended and before dinner rush really kicked in, and there was already only one seat left... Meanwhile the other jokbal places in this same Sindorim Prugio complex had plenty of empty seats. Only this one was full, haha.
Sindorim Sambaekga menu: sambaek jokbal, sambaek bossam and fresh-noodle kalguksu sets
The menu board at Sambaekga, the delicious Sindorim jokbal spot.

Samback jokbal or samback bossam — picking one of these two is the standard move.

You can also get it as a set, and there's a half-and-half option too. Honestly, near Sindorim there's no need to go spend big at a Korean BBQ place — a jokbal restaurant like this might just be the better call... order two servings of meat, then another round, then some soju, and you'll end up paying more than you would for jokbal anyway.

Sindorim Sambaekga is also apparently known for its fresh-cut kalguksu (hand-pulled knife noodles).

The lunch menu is varied too, with rice-and-bossam set, kalguksu-and-bossam set, and sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew).

Click the menu photos to zoom in. They've got jokbal, bossam, and kalguksu sets all well covered, perfect for drinking and getting a soup-based dish to help you recover afterward.

The service barley rice isn't limited to one bowl — you can eat as much as you want. That kind of generosity is really nice. Apparently a chef from the Josun Hotel developed the recipe... no wonder the jokbal was so good.
What the seating inside Sindorim Sambaekga is like
Inside Sambaekga, the jokbal and bossam place in the Sindorim Prugio complex, there are outer seats like this, plus 3 inner seats where you can eat like this. These inner seats were reserved, so I couldn't sit there.
Sindorim jokbal means Sambaekga, no question! Book ahead and come here — you will absolutely not regret it!!!!!!!!!
How does the 46,000₩ sambaek jokbal (front-leg jokbal) taste?
Sindorim jokbal and bossam spot Sambaekga's samback jokbal (front-leg jokbal), ₩46,000.

It came out beautifully clean and simple. No unnecessary padding like a plate of jaengban guksu (chilled noodles) — it's satisfying and delicious all on its own.

Once you taste it, you realize you don't even need that jaengban guksu.

No overpowering herbal smell, just a genuinely delicious aroma, and one bite in, the skin was chewy and even the meat had zero tough or dry spots. Properly, properly well boiled.

This is on a completely different level from other places......... I really hope they open more branches.

The skin isn't dark, it's this bright color, and to me that's what makes for tasty, healthy jokbal. When the color is too deep and dark, I usually find it gets kind of off-putting after a while, hard to keep eating, and my stomach gets uneasy, even a little nauseous. But Sambaekga's jokbal had none of that.

The garlic sauce especially is really good, so dip the jokbal in it. A lot of places using front-leg pork make it disgustingly bland, but here they take already-great front-leg jokbal and make it even better.

Side dishes at Sindorim Sambaekga: kimchi, seasoned chives and sireagi-guk
The kimchis were all delicious too. Not one of them was skippable.

The chive salad wasn't sweet and paired really well with the jokbal. Even the vegetables looked green and fresh.
I used to think jokbal was, at best, just some pig's leg boiled without much care — this changed that completely, showing me how good it can actually be. Sindorim jokbal and bossam really is Sambaekga.
What came out as the base soup wasn't the usual bean sprout soup but sireagi-guk (dried radish green soup), which surprised me — it wasn't too salty and was mild and smooth enough not to overpower the taste buds while eating jokbal, making it the perfect pairing with a shot of soju.

I've become a real fan of this jokbal place. It tastes like something I'd want to sneak bites of if I worked here part-time.
Front-leg jokbal and soju gone in 40 minutes

The meat alone is tender, the skin alone is delicious.

Every other jokbal place, byeeee. For now, this is my number one jokbal spot.

The soju just goes down so smoothly.

We cleared the whole thing in like 30, maybe 40 minutes............ If you want jokbal near Sindorim Station, head to Sambaekga in the Prugio complex...... Highly, highly recommend!
