Gwangalli alley pizza restaurant with open kitchen seats: Extra Mile
In short
Extra Mile is a pizza and pasta restaurant set inside an alley in Gwangalli, Busan, in a building that looks like an ordinary house. The writer visited with her boyfriend and ordered the Classic Combo for two — a half-and-half pizza of hot honey pepperoni and potato plus bisque cream pasta — and filled the wait with the coloring sheet left on the table. Extra Mile is an easy recommendation for a Gwangalli date meal when you want pizza and pasta in one sitting.

My boyfriend loves pizza, so while looking for somewhere to eat in Gwangalli we found Extra Mile. It had a good variety of pizzas and pasta on the side, which seemed perfect for the two of us to order a bunch of things haha. Let me walk you through what we had!

A house-like exterior tucked into a Gwangalli alley
Extra Mile sits deep in a Gwangalli alley, so the first time I went I wondered if this was really the right place. The exterior looks like a clean, plain house, and the sign isn't the kind that jumps out at you.

The white-toned building paired with wood-tone window frames gave it an overall warm feeling, and honestly this house-like vibe made it feel like discovering a hidden gem.

Wood-tone interior and seats facing the open kitchen
Stepping inside Extra Mile, the vibe was completely different from the exterior! Everything was done in wood tones, so it felt warm and comfortable, and there were window seats too, which made for nice sunlit atmosphere.

It's an open-kitchen layout, so you could catch glimpses of the food being made, and the tables weren't crammed too close together either.

A different coloring sheet on every table
And here's the fun part — coloring sheets! They came with colored pencils, and each table seemed to have a slightly different drawing (my boyfriend and I even had a little competition over who colored better, hehe).

There were all kinds of drawings — pizza, pasta, birds — so we got to spend the waiting time coloring. Sometimes the wait for food on a date can feel surprisingly long, so having something like this made it not boring at all haha.

Extra Mile's menu and the Classic Combo for two
Extra Mile's menu is centered on pizza and pasta, with sides and drinks available, plus set menus that let you enjoy pizza and pasta together. Pizza can be ordered half-and-half, which was great when we wanted to try more than one flavor.

- Classic Combo (set for two)
- Hot honey pepperoni + potato pizza, half-and-half
- Bisque cream pasta

Hot honey pepperoni and potato half-and-half pizza
First up, we ordered the pizza as a half hot honey pepperoni, half potato split. Behold my gorgeous pizza...🤎

The hot honey pepperoni had that salty, spicy pepperoni kick with sweet hot honey drizzled on top — a sweet-and-salty combo. Mixed with the tangy tomato sauce, it came together better than I expected.

The potato pizza had a subtle truffle aroma with crispy shredded potato for a fun texture. The cream sauce blended in well, making it mild and smooth to eat.
Both pizzas weren't just thin-crust style — the dough had a chewy bite to it, which paired well with the toppings.

Bisque cream pasta at Extra Mile
And the bisque cream pasta was totally my kind of dish 🍝. With shrimp and gamtae (dried seaweed flakes) in it, this cream pasta had a strong ocean flavor, and the gamtae's aroma paired beautifully with the shrimp's richness.

The shrimp were red shrimp, so the flavor was rich and deep, and you really noticed the shrimp's presence in every bite. The cream sauce wasn't too heavy either, so it worked well alongside the pizza.

Is Extra Mile worth it for a Gwangalli date meal?
Overall, if you're looking for a pizza restaurant in Gwangalli and want pasta on top of that, I'd recommend Extra Mile.
I visited with my pizza-loving boyfriend and we both left having eaten well. From the exterior to the warm wood-tone interior to the coloring sheets, it had a bit of a different charm from a typical pizza place. Above all, being able to enjoy two pizza flavors at once with the half-and-half option was great, and adding the pasta made it a hearty meal. If you're searching for a good pizza spot in Gwangalli with a nice atmosphere for a date, this is worth a visit 🍕🤎
