Booking the same day and going straight from work to this Gwacheon hair salon

One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station is a hair salon 3 minutes on foot from Exit 1 of Gwacheon Government Complex Station. I hadn't had a cut in so long that I walked in on a whim right after clocking out of work.

I was looking for a nearby salon and this one had same-day booking available, so I went. Leaving this review of manager Minjeong for anyone searching for a Gwacheon layered cut.

It's a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Gwacheon Government Complex Station (Line 4).

Free parking and how to find One & Only Hair

Park at Hanyang Sujain Gwacheon Government Complex Station (15 Byeoryangsangga1-ro, Gwacheon-si), B2–B3, then walk over. And note that parking is free.

If you're arriving on foot or by public transit, head down the 'Gate 2' stairs next to Kyobo Life, or take the elevator to B1 — the salon is right there.

What the salon looks like from outside

One & Only Hair sits right in front of the B1 elevator exit. The storefront isn't small, so it was easy to spot the moment I stepped out.

When I visited on a weekday afternoon, every stylist was busy with a client. The system is: sit in the waiting area, and whoever finishes first comes out to help you.

See the waiting area in the photo above! I arrived 30 minutes early for my booking and waited there. After about 5 minutes, a stylist who'd just finished came out and confirmed my reservation.

The products One & Only Hair uses were displayed near the entrance.

This is where the actual services happen. There were semi-transparent partitions between some seats,

but there were also open seats without any partition.

The same products displayed at the entrance were also stocked in front of the service seats.

There was a guest using the shampoo room at the time, so I couldn't get a detailed shot of the inside, but as you can see, it's set up as a separate space.

What I got was a layered cut (₩35,000~). Just a note, extra fees apply by stylist rank, so check the exact price before your service. Also, the photo above is after the cut plus a blow-dry, not just the cut!

I'd thought about adding a magic setting perm too, but ended up just getting the layered cut.
