Unlimited rice and radish green soup lunch set near COEX: Yangeunine

Working life kind of turns into a daily struggle of figuring out what to eat for lunch, haha.

Anyone who works or hangs out near COEX totally gets this, right? Prices keep climbing and by the time you decide where to go, the wait is already long, so it's always a headache ㅠㅠ

So today I'm bringing you a review of a Samseong COEX spot — Yangeunine's spicy pollack soup and squid bossam!

Location and hours of Yangeunine Samseong Station Branch

Yangeunine Samseong Station Branch just recently opened, and it was seriously spotless!

And what really caught my eye was the Yangeunine Set at 48,000 won. Genuinely great value.

How many lunch specials are there?

Since it's in an office-worker heavy area, they also have lunch specials! There are 5 of them, so you could come every day without getting bored, haha.

Yangeunine, a Samseong COEX favorite, specializes in pollack soup, squid bossam and bossam. The walls were covered in celebrity signatures, so even before walking in you could sense this was a proven spot 🫶🏻

I ordered the Yangeunine Set today and chose cold water naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodle soup) for the noodles, haha.

Unlimited rice and radish green soup at lunch

During lunch hours in particular, both rice and radish green soup are refilled for free, so you can have an incredibly good-value meal. This is exactly the kind of COEX spot to come to when you want something hearty and filling nearby.

What's in the Yangeunine Set — a table full of food

Squid bossam

The squid bossam that came out first was a visual knockout... Tender, well-boiled bossam pork, plump chewy squid, and a spicy-tangy chive salad were all piled onto one plate — just looking at it made me feel full already, haha.

The bossam pork had no gamey smell at all, clean and moist, and it was a perfect match wrapped with the spicy salad or bossam kimchi!!

The blanched squid wasn't chewy at all either — nice and springy — and dipped lightly in chogochujang (vinegared chili paste) it was so soft and good..👍🏻 Real COEX-worthy quality!

Spicy pollack soup

Next came the spicy pollack soup, served bubbling in a brass pot — the first sip completely cleared my head, total hangover cure..!!

It was packed with roe and milt so heavily the ladle felt weighed down, and the pollack flesh was really thick too. Usually when I order pollack soup elsewhere the flesh is often thin, but here the ingredients were genuinely substantial — I was impressed!!!

Among COEX spots, if you're craving a hangover cure or a hot, refreshing soup, run to Yangeunine without hesitation 🏃

When to ask for the naengmyeon

When you order, they ask whether you'd like the naengmyeon (cold noodles) served as a finisher or alongside everything else. I asked for it to come together since I wanted to wrap it with the meat!

Cooling down with water naengmyeon on a hot day was so refreshing 👍🏻👍🏻 It went so well with the bossam that we cleaned the whole thing up without leaving anything, haha.

Final thoughts and would I come back

Yangeunine, this Samseong COEX favorite, nailed generous portions, great value, and flavor all at once. Especially thanks to the lunchtime unlimited refills and the varied set composition, everyone in my group was very satisfied 👍🏻👍🏻

They even had sujeonggwa (cinnamon punch) for dessert after the meal, so it was really a perfect 100..💯 Whenever I'm craving a solid Korean meal, a hot soup, or a generous bossam, I know I'll be back!!
