Today I want to recommend a café with unique desserts, perfect for a Dangjin drive course. Dangjin's MIMI Coffee Mill!

Where is MIMI Coffee Mill? Hours and parking

MIMI Coffee Mill is at 1064 Nambu-ro, Sunseong-myeon, Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do. There's plenty of parking in front, so it's great for driving over.

A warehouse turned container café: exterior and vintage interior

This is the outside of MIMI Coffee Mill. If you see a container from a distance, that's it! It used to be a warehouse before being converted into this space. Even the door is a half-revolving door, which was pretty interesting.

The interior is bursting with vintage vibes. There's even a baby chair, so it's great for a café visit with a baby. Lots of dolls for babies to play with too.

There's also a 12-seat table, good for family or group gatherings, and overall it has a warm wood-tone, cozy feel. One corner even has a sarangbang (traditional guest room) concept ✮⋆˙

The outdoor terrace and campfire zone

Open this door and..!! A lush green outdoor terrace pops up!💚 Cute string lights are on too, giving it a romantic vibe 🆙🆙

There's also a campfire zone ❤️‍🔥 Roasting marshmallows here in winter would be so happy 🫢

MIMI Coffee Mill has handmade sulbbang (rice liquor bread)! ((corn, pea, black sesame, Oreo choco)) Four whole flavors, sold only on weekends and holidays, limited to 24 pieces 🫡

They also have ham cheese sandwiches, castella, lemon butter bars, palmiers, ttungkaron (fat macarons), dalgona, and choco/lemon cakes.

MIMI cream latte, over 80,000 cups sold

The MIMI cream latte is the signature menu item with over 80,000 cups sold, and the cream on top is genuinely, genuinely delicious ㅠ It's made with misutgaru (roasted grain powder) whipped cream, so it's nutty and smooth, and the black sesame garnish on top gives it a perfect bit of crunch ✨

Fresh-pressed MIMI lemon tea

As a self-proclaimed lemon drink lover, I usually love drinks with lemon in them, and since the MIMI lemon tea is fresh-pressed, unlike regular lemon-syrup drinks, the taste focuses more on the lemon's tartness than sweetness 💛

One-line summary: MIMI lemon tea = the delicious Lemona (Korean vitamin C drink) version.

Oreo choco rice sulbbang

The Oreo choco rice sulbbang has the chewy, fluffy texture typical of sulbbang, and the chocolate bits studded inside melt slightly from the warmth — a flavor kids would love too. The sweetness isn't too strong, which I really liked!

Stretches out while still being chewy and bouncy ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

Burnt cheesecake and Dangjin soybean sundubu ice cream

The burnt cheesecake, when you poke it with a fork, is dense and thick, full of cheesy savoriness. If you're a cheesecake lover, you won't dislike this one 𑣲₍ ᐢ. .ᐢ₎

Doesn't the Dangjin soybean sundubu ice cream look even more like real sundubu (soft tofu) because of the pack it comes in? So cute ㅠㅠ

They give you rice puffs and injeolmi (bean flour) powder as toppings. Sprinkle it all in and you get a burst of nutty bean-flour flavor — I was surprised it tastes like actual steamed sundubu in the ice cream!

Dangjin also has lots of festivals, so I recommend a drive over to MIMI Coffee Mill in Dangjin to try some unique desserts 🫡
