Bangi-dong tonkatsu restaurant with mixed cutlet set: Susi Seon Bangi

Today I want to recommend a spot from the Bangi-dong food alley: Susi Seon Bangi Branch! I go to the Bangi-dong food alley all the time, haha. But I had no idea there was such a good sushi place here...!!! Turns out it's also famous for its handmade pork cutlets! Let me introduce it in detail!

Where is Susi Seon Bangi Branch, and where do you park?

Susi Seon Bangi Branch is located in the Bangi-dong food alley! Since it's in an alley, there's no parking support, so I used the nearby Songpa-gu Office public parking lot! It's about a 10-minute walk, maybe less!

Inside there are counter seats, group tables, couple seats, and more, so you don't need to worry about seating, haha. When we went in, about 2 tables were already eating, and 3-4 more groups came in afterward, haha.

What we ordered at Susi Seon Bangi Branch

There were so many combinations on the menu that it was hard to decide!

I got the mixed cutlet set with udon, and my friend got the special sushi 10 pieces with 2 extra salmon pieces! If you order the mixed sushi, you also get a small udon or small buckwheat noodles!

Side dishes and the free porridge starter

First, the basic side dishes were rakkyo (pickled shallots), pickled radish, and ginger!

They give you porridge and cold mixed noodles as basic starters, which are great for lightly waking up your appetite, haha.

Especially this cold mixed noodle dish — it's tangy, like eating mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) sauce mixed into noodles!!! I kept wanting more, ugh. Later I even added a bit of the salad that comes with the pork cutlet into it...

Special sushi 10 pieces: the tuna steals the show

After waiting, the sushi we ordered came out first! 2 pieces of flounder, 2 pieces of salmon, 2 pieces of tuna, king sweet shrimp, eel, soy sauce shrimp, and sea urchin roe!

Overall it was already well-seasoned, and the seafood had zero fishy or old taste — it was really delicious!

Especially tuna — unless it's a really good place, it's often fishy, so I ate it first. But what is this?! It was seriously the best I've ever had!!! It tasted almost exactly like the famous sushi place in Japan I waited in line for at 6 AM to eat at... Nothing to chew, not fishy at all, melts in your mouth!!!

This is the 2 extra salmon pieces we added! Delicious, but everyone should definitely add tuna instead.

Inside the mixed cutlet set: cheese, pork loin and ball cutlet

Now the mixed cutlets!!! I chose mini udon as my side! The mixed cutlet comes with cheese, pork loin, and ball cutlet, haha.

The cheese cutlet has a crazy amount of cheese that stretches forever, but it's not the kind of cheese that flows like water — it's a pork cutlet where you can enjoy a chewy, springy texture, haha.

The ball cutlet is like a meatball with various vegetables and meat mixed in, and dipping it fully in the sauce, it tastes like something even kids would love!!!

The mini udon had chewy noodles with none of that typical sour or floury taste udon noodles sometimes have, and the broth soaked really well into the noodles — genuinely delicious udon, haha.

We cleaned every plate to the very end!!!!

Is Susi Seon Bangi Branch worth a visit?

From sushi to pork cutlets to udon, every single dish had great quality, so I was really satisfied! I especially hope you all try adding the tuna... it was seriously a memorable taste, haha. It was so good that after eating I texted all my friends, lol. Telling them to definitely go here if they come to the Bangi food alley, haha.
