Honestly I didn't expect much before going to Susi Seon, but I walked out really satisfied. I'd had my eye on Susi Seon Bangi Branch for a while while passing through Bangi-dong in Songpa, and finally made it there!

Where is Susi Seon Bangi Branch and how do you get there?
Susi Seon Bangi Branch is at 37 Olympic-ro 32-gil, 1F, Songpa-gu, Seoul. It's 468m from Songpanaru Station Exit 2, so it's walkable — I'd recommend checking Naver Maps before you go :)

The Susi Seon sign is pretty noticeable so it was easy to find. Maybe because it was dinnertime, the alley was super busy.

Susi Seon Bangi Branch menu prices and what the special sushi set includes
Inside, there were wooden tables with comfortable seating and a big menu board on the wall. After debating what to get, we both went with the special sushi!

- Chef's choice sushi 10pcs ₩21,000
- Couple set (2 people) ₩38,000
- Sashimi set (1 person) ₩30,000
We ordered two servings of the special sushi. It comes with 10 pieces of sushi plus a choice of soba or udon. Living up to its reputation as a Bangi-dong sushi restaurant, the composition was substantial.

We sat down, set out our water cups and chopsticks, and waited for the sushi with reverence haha.

The jjolmyeon and porridge served before the sushi
Susi Seon Bangi Branch brought out pickled ginger, rakkyo, and pickled radish as side dishes. On top of that, they even give you jjolmyeon (spicy cold noodles) and porridge!

The sweet and tangy jjolmyeon was perfect for waking up the appetite.

I wasn't expecting much from the porridge but it was really good. Warm and savory — a gentle way to start before the sushi!

Special sushi 10pcs: from halibut to sea urchin
The special sushi arrived! It went from halibut to salmon to tuna to shrimp, then shrimp, tuna, eel, and sea urchin — a solid lineup. Even among Bangi-dong sushi restaurants, I thought this composition was substantial.

With both plates spread out like this, it already looked satisfying hahaha. I quickly took photos and dug in.

Halibut and salmon nigiri
The halibut had firm, springy flesh and a savory taste. Eaten with wasabi, it was such a clean, classic piece of sushi!
Personally I love salmon sushi so much haha. The little pops of flying fish roe on top of the salmon had a great texture.

Tuna nigiri
The tuna was soft with just the right amount of fat, so I kept reaching for more. I wanted to keep eating it but there were only 2 pieces T.T

Shrimp and soy-marinated shrimp nigiri
The regular shrimp sushi was springy with a nice bite. The soy sauce shrimp sushi was savory and salty, refreshing the palate.

Eel and sea urchin nigiri
Eel sushi is so good when you get it once in a while, right? haha. The eel came with a sweet sauce and radish sprouts, a great combination.

The sea urchin had a rich, smooth flavor. It can be divisive, but I loved it hahaha.

Udon or soba: which side should you pick?
The special sushi comes with a choice of soba or udon. Both had a clean broth, and the udon had fried tofu skin and scallions in it, so it was refreshing to eat.

I always pick udon over soba haha. I'm a fan of udon noodles!

The free grilled salmon from the owner
They gave us a free grilled salmon that was genuinely amazing — I wanted more T.T.T. Thanks to the right amount of fat, it was moist and savory. Not greasy at all, and a really clean way to finish the meal!

Atmosphere and overall verdict on Susi Seon Bangi Branch
At Susi Seon Bangi Branch, you can see straight into the kitchen, and it felt neat and well-managed, which built trust. Everything we ate that day was delicious and the ingredients were fresh. It had been a while since I'd had sushi and it was such a satisfying meal!
The owner was also super friendly, which made for a genuinely pleasant weekend meal haha. If you're looking for a good sushi restaurant in Bangi-dong, I fully recommend Susi Seon Bangi Branch! Next time I want to try the sashimi set too.
Susi Seon Bangi Branch in one line
The special sushi's ingredients were all fresh, and the lineup — from halibut to salmon, tuna, eel and sea urchin — was very substantial. I loved the comfortable wooden tables and the neat interior. The owner was so kind that I enjoyed the meal from start to finish.
The price is ₩17,000 for 10 pieces of special sushi. If you want a set, there's also a couple set for two that could be a good value option. In fact, I noticed two couples nearby ordering the couple set.
