In short

Puru Papa Hangang MAPOINT Branch is a café and dessert shop on the first floor of MAPOINT Naru in Mangwon Hangang Park, Mapo, Seoul. From a window seat facing the Han River, the order came to a lemon bianco latte, a cheonhyehyang (Korean citrus) smoothie with ice cream, choco ganache cake and an earl grey cookie. Drinks and desserts at Puru Papa are not expensive, so it is an easy Han River café for picking several and tasting them slowly.

MAPOINT, where Puru Papa is located, also has a Starbucks and a CU, so it was crowded with people out for a Han River walk stopping by to grab a quick bite.

How big is the menu at Puru Papa, from coffee to smoothies?

Puru Papa Hangang MAPOINT Branch had enough drinks to fill a whole wall, from coffee to smoothies. Besides the signature latte series, there were new items like the Coconut Cloud, so it was hard to decide what to get.

I love coconut so I was going to get the Coconut Cloud, but it was sold out that day so I picked something else. With so many options, it was easy to find a good alternative.

Before going in I'd planned to just have a drink, but looking through the menu, desserts started catching my eye one by one, and I ended up spending my time eating dessert too.

Orders are placed at a kiosk, and there were plenty of milk and soy milk options to choose from according to taste.

How do the cheonhyehyang smoothie and lemon bianco latte taste?

At Puru Papa Hangang MAPOINT Branch I ordered a lemon bianco latte and a cheonhyehyang (Korean citrus) smoothie. The sun was strong that afternoon so I got the smoothie to cool down.

Cheonhyehyang has that distinctive sweet-yet-slightly-tart flavor, so drinking it on a hot day felt like an instant recharge. The fruity taste lingered in my mouth, so it was nice to sip between bites of the richer desserts.

The lemon bianco latte I'd been curious about. I'm familiar with orange bianco coffee, but lemon coffee was new to me, so I was curious what it would taste like.

With cream on top, the first sip was nutty and smooth, and the fresh lemon flavor added a clean finish. You could actually feel bits of lemon pulp, which lemon lovers would enjoy. It leaned more toward a subtle citrus aroma than heavy coffee flavor, so it paired easily with the desserts.

It felt like a waste to order just drinks, so I added ice cream, choco ganache cake, and an earl grey cookie. Both drinks and desserts were reasonably priced, so picking a variety didn't feel like a burden.

Puru Papa is known for its ice cream lattes, so it felt like it would be a shame to skip the ice cream — I ordered that too. A nice palate cleanser after all the other menu items~

The earl grey cookie had that distinctive fragrant earl grey aroma coming through subtly. It wasn't just strongly sweet — the black tea flavor came through, making it a good pair with coffee or tea.

Among the desserts, the choco ganache cake caught my eye so I ordered it. It had that thick, rich chocolate flavor that paired really well with coffee.

Is Puru Papa a good café for a break by the Han River?

A lovely Hangang Park café for sipping drinks while looking out at the river~ With reasonable prices, it's a great Mangwon Hangang Park dessert spot to pick a variety of desserts and take your time — Puru Papa Hangang MAPOINT Branch.

With a range of choices from a slightly unusual drink like the lemon bianco latte to a full dessert lineup, it's a Han River café that's easy to visit with anyone.
