Mapo café for a Han River chicken picnic: Puru Papa
In short
Puru Papa Hangang MAPOINT Branch is a café in Mapo, Seoul, near Mangwon Hangang Park. I had an Orange Bianco Latte, Dubai Chocolate Bingsu, and boneless herb chicken by the river, then packed carrot cake for a picnic. A great-value stop after a Han River walk or run.

Puru Papa after a Han River walk

Sometimes, while walking in the cool Han River breeze, you suddenly desperately want a sweet dessert and a cup of coffee. I found such a great spot near Mangwon Hangang Park, perfect for wide-open views and a range of drinks.
That spot was Puru Papa Hangang MAPOINT Branch, with its fresh, atmospheric vibe. It is easy to reach on a Han River outing, and the value is fantastic too—I was instantly sold.
The atmosphere and menu options

As soon as you step in, the refreshing, trendy interior—reminiscent of blue waves—catches your eye.

There is a huge variety, from basic Americanos to rich signature lattes and soft-serve ice cream drinks.

The menu is seriously extensive, so it is fun to visit with friends or your partner and pick according to everyone’s tastes.

There are several bean options too, plus choices for a lighter coffee or extra shots.

As you would expect from a dessert hot spot near Mangwon Hangang Park, there are plenty of desserts: cake slices, cookies, dujjonku (chewy cookie), butter rice cakes, and lots of signature drinks that work as dessert too.

It has such a comfortable, cozy atmosphere for resting your tired body after a run at Mangwon Hangang Park.
From soft serve to chicken

Apparently, the must-try signature here is the sweet soft serve. There are lots of milk varieties too, so it genuinely accommodates every taste among the countless people who come to the Han River!!
They even have draft beer, chicken, and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), making it great for a casual picnic at Mangwon Hangang Park.

Places like this usually charge at least 1.2 times more than downtown, but the prices here are so kind!!

So many cookie varieties, fitting for a dessert place near Mangwon Hangang Park. The prices are so kind too—almost like co-op prices, you know?

Chilled electrolyte drinks that seem made to wipe out your thirst after a Han River run. They also stock all kinds of protein shakes for runners who are seriously into their muscles and protein.
Puru Papa × Kk Sushi
Wait, they were selling sushi on the other side too,, MAPOINT at Mangwon Hangang Park is seriously so nice! It is not too crowded, and prices are much kinder than around Yeouido. There was iced black tea that would probably go perfectly with sushi.
Han River views from the MAPOINT terrace
Use as many disposable spoons, forks, knives, straws, tissues, and napkins as you need.

Enjoying a cool dessert while looking at the open Han River view felt like the perfect finishing touch to weekend healing.

There are only two or three tables inside, but you can enjoy the Han River view from the MAPOINT terrace right out front. I also highly recommend getting takeaway after a date at Mangwon Hangang Park and sipping it as you walk along the river. The prices are very reasonable and the portions generous—properly incredible value.

The coffee machine is a La Cimbali. Apparently it is a pretty high-end, top-tier machine.

There is a draft beer machine too,, but draft beer was sold out when we went, so we could not have any.. Puru Papa, please bring back the draft beer soon.

Our boneless herb chicken finally arrived,, ridiculously delicious fries came with it too. And the signature Orange Bianco Latte.

Enjoying it with a Han River view.

The coffee smelled fresh and fragrant, and the milk was delicious too. I was thirsty, so I basically finished it in five minutes;; On top was this soft cream and a subtle Orange Bianco aroma~

This one was... Dubai Chocolate Bingsu (shaved ice dessert).. The rich milky flavor spread softly through my mouth, and I could not help but gasp after the first bite. I thought the green stuff was wasabi or something, but it was pistachio syrup.
They do not hold back on the herb powder for the boneless herb chicken. It was fried so, so crispy,, and the fries had a slightly Cajun feel—ridiculously good.

Since I came to a dessert hot spot near Mangwon Hangang Park, I could not skip dessert!! I packed up a carrot cake properly too.

The real Han River picnic begins. It is nice to eat at the café, or to pack it up lightly if you came for a picnic.

Dipping it in the sauce made it feel different again, and delicious.

If you are looking for a dessert place near Mangwon Hangang Park, or want delicious ice cream with a refreshing Han River view, definitely give it a visit.

A huge picnic success with Puru Papa, the dessert spot near Mangwon Hangang Park~
