Western restaurant in Hanam Gamil with kids' seaweed soup: Opus240

When you eat out with kids, it's not enough for the food to just taste good, right? Haha. If there's a menu the kids can eat, a baby chair, and ideally even a little space for them to play, that's a total win for parents!

Opus240, which I visited this time, was a place that had all these boxes pretty well checked.

It's a Western restaurant located in Gamil, Hanam. The main menu prices are reasonable, you can enjoy the salad bar unlimited, and there's even a playroom, so it was really good for dining out with kids. :)

Opus240 is located on the 2nd floor of Gamil Prugio Marbelle. Every time I come to this building I notice the parking is convenient, so it's great to visit by car.

With two kids in tow, I naturally give extra points to places with easy parking, and this place passes that test! We arrived a bit earlier than the main meal rush.

The first thing I noticed walking in was how spacious and clean it was! The tables had plenty of space between them, which made it easy to sit with the kids, and the overall relaxed atmosphere seemed good not just for family dining but for larger groups too.

You can't talk about Opus240 without mentioning the salad bar.

Seeing it in person, it had more variety and was more generous than I expected. While waiting for the main dishes, I filled a plate at the salad bar first, and picking through everything was fun. What was especially welcome with kids in tow was that there was seaweed soup (miyeokguk) and rice!

When you take a young child to a Western restaurant, you sometimes worry about what to feed them, but with seaweed soup and rice available, the kids' meal is basically settled. Haha.

Kids' tableware and baby chairs were also well prepared, which made me think this is genuinely a kid-friendly Western restaurant in Hanam.

And here's another reason I wanted to come here. The big reveal — the playroom!

There's a separate space inside the restaurant for kids to play. It's not just a token little corner — it's actually set up well for kids to go in and play. Our kids had a blast in there too. :)

The kids eat, then play in the playroom, while the parents get to eat with a bit more ease! Families with kids will know just how precious this kind of time is. Haha.

Bacon cream pasta and bacon fried rice, plus the ₩7,000 kids' fee

Ordering is simple — just use the tablet at your table. That day we ordered bacon cream pasta and bacon fried rice. Since our first child falls into the 4–6 age bracket, we paid the ₩7,000 usage fee!

Honestly, with mains in the ₩10,000 range and a salad bar included, the price is pretty good. So I figured the food would just be so-so... but I was surprised at how good the main dishes actually were.

The bacon cream pasta had a smooth, savory sauce that was good to eat with the kids too, and the bacon fried rice was hearty and paired well with the salad bar dishes.

The price wasn't a burden, yet the mains delivered properly, which made the whole experience more satisfying.

And back to the salad bar we went! Look at this — pretty generous, right?

The main dish alone is a full meal, but with the unlimited salad bar too, grabbing bits of this and that really fills you up. We fed the kids their seaweed soup, rice, and mains, then sent them off to the playroom. Meanwhile, we went back to the salad bar and ate at a relaxed pace.

So what I liked about this place wasn't just that there's a space for kids to play, but that the food for the adults was satisfying too.

Is Opus240 worth it for a family meal in Hanam Gamil?

This was my first visit to Opus240, and I really liked it as a family dining spot. It's located in the easy-to-park Gamil Prugio Marbelle, and the restaurant itself is spacious and clean.

Mains in the affordable ₩10,000 range, an unlimited salad bar, rice and seaweed soup that's easy for kids to eat, baby chairs and kids' tableware, and on top of that a playroom! If you're looking for a Western restaurant in Hanam to bring kids to, this combination is really convenient.

Above all, the food was delicious, so I want to come back. Opus240, where the kids could play happily and the adults could eat well — if you're looking for a comfortable place for family dining in Gamil, I recommend it. :)
