Baekheukdam is at 93 Misadong-ro, 1st floor, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do, and it has a spacious dedicated parking lot, which made driving there easy. Located on Misadong-ro in Hanam, Baekheukdam sits in a brick building with a sign for samgyetang, galbitang, and haesintang right out front.

It looked like it hadn't been open long, and the building itself was clean too. It's an easy stop for lunch by car on a day out to Starfield Hanam.

Step inside Baekheukdam and you'll be surprised — the ceilings are incredibly high and everything is spotless! It's not the traditional samgyetang restaurant feel you'd expect; the vibe is more upscale.

It felt comfortable but still had a bit of formality to it, so it seems like a great spot for a family gathering.

One wall is entirely floor-to-ceiling glass, so you can see the lush green scenery outside! Sitting by the window, eating while looking at the view, felt really nice.

There are plenty of tables too, so it seems perfect for staff dinners, group gatherings, or small meetups 👍 The owner and staff were also really kind.

I ordered the Baekheukdam Perilla Samgyetang (21,000 won), which came up a lot in recommendations! It arrives in a stone pot topped with perilla powder and ginseng 🩷 The basic side dishes were simple — kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), kimchi, and pickled vegetables.

I took a spoonful of the broth and it was genuinely rich and nutty 🤤 The perilla was dissolved into a thick consistency, so every bite felt filling and satisfying.

The chicken, being sous vide cooked, was tender and soft. The meat pulled right off the bone with just a light tug of the chopsticks!

There's also sticky rice inside, and eating it together with the broth is amazing haha. By the way, the meat around the bone can look slightly pink, but there's a notice above the kiosk explaining this is a natural occurrence that can happen even when the chicken is fully cooked. Good to know so you're not caught off guard!

Baekheukdam provides containers so you can take leftovers home. The portion was so generous that I got really full while eating. When I said I wanted to take the rest with me, they neatly handed over a takeout container.
