If you're looking for a great-atmosphere ramen restaurant in Hanam Misa, let me introduce Menji Hanam Misa Branch! If you like tori paitan ramen made with rich chicken broth, this is the place for a perfect meal.

Exterior entrance of Menji Hanam Misa Branch

Even before stepping inside, the vibe is really good. Once you're in, it's even nicer!!! It had that distinct feel of a Japanese ramen shop, which I loved.

How tablet ordering works at each table

The ordering system is convenient too!

Each seat has a tablet, so you can take your time looking over the menu, order exactly what you want, and pay all at once — no need to keep calling a staff member over. Really convenient.

How spicy is Menji's chili-loaded tori paitan broth?

The tori paitan had that rich, savory depth typical of chicken broth, plus a spicy kick added on top, which hit the spot perfectly!

Tori paitan usually means a broth that's rich but a bit heavy, but adding that fiery spiciness here made it feel like a hangover-curing kind of spicy broth.

The park view from Menji's window seats

The view outside the shop was a park, so it never felt closed-in — nice and open, and eating by the window looking out at the green scenery made the atmosphere really lovely.

Karaage with ramen: how the combo tastes

The karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) was crispy outside and juicy inside, perfect for picking at between bites of ramen — dipped in the mayo sauce it got even richer, an inevitably delicious taste.

Doesn't the presentation look great! Delicious + delicious = double delicious.

If you like spicy food, I'd recommend ordering this — a flavor you won't regret.

Tonkatsu at a ramen restaurant: worth ordering?

Honestly, since it's a ramen restaurant, I didn't expect much from the tonkatsu.

It was way crispier and tastier than I thought — the outside was fried nice and crunchy, and you could really taste the clean, savory pork, like something from a tonkatsu specialty restaurant!

Alternating between tonkatsu and ramen is the best pairing. I've always liked spicy, fiery food, so this style of ramen was completely my type.

It kept the rich flavor of the deep chicken broth while adding a spicy kick, so it wasn't greasy and didn't get tiring — you know that feeling?

Toppings and Menji's house-made whole wheat noodles

They loaded it up with meat, gave a whole egg instead of just half, and piled on plenty of cheongyang chili for spice — it was a ramen made of all my favorite things, so I ate it up with pure joy.

Made with whole wheat, the noodles definitely had a nutty flavor and a firm, satisfying texture. House-made fresh noodles really are something different.

The soft-boiled egg that came with the tonkatsu was also a nice touch — the yolk was still runny, so eating it with the ramen broth added a soft, savory richness.... If you're looking for a great ramen restaurant in Hanam Misa, I recommend Menji Hanam Misa Branch.
