Hanam family restaurant with playroom and unlimited salad bar: Opus240

Looking for Hanam Misa brunch spots — Gamil-dong has a pasta restaurant with a kids' playroom that's great for families! Order just one pasta and the salad bar is unlimited! It's a huge semi-buffet, big enough for a first-birthday party! I had a relaxed lunch at Opus240.

Opus240 is a large semi-restaurant in Gamil-dong, Hanam, specializing in steak, salad and pasta. It's a huge space, and since ordering just one pasta unlocks unlimited salad bar access, it's a real value-for-money spot!

It's on the 2nd floor of the A Cloud Gamil commercial building, so parking is convenient. Turns out Opus240, which started in Paju, Gyeonggi, opened this second location in Hanam! After a remodeling period, it reopened on September 1st. I got a little confused finding it after parking, but once you go up to the 2nd floor, just head toward the main plaza and you'll spot it easily!

The main hall at Opus240 is really massive! It's a large restaurant with generous windows, giving it a bright, pleasant atmosphere. It almost felt like a banquet hall — a buffet restaurant well suited for first-birthday parties, birthday celebrations, or other events.

Opus240 playroom: under 8s only, plus plenty of baby chairs

There's a kids' playroom on one side, so while the children run around and play, mom and dad can enjoy a proper meal! And the kids can dig into pasta, pizza, salad — all they want. *Note that the playroom is for children under age 8 only.

I found out on the way out that this large buffet restaurant can also be rented for first-birthday parties, corporate events, birthday celebrations, parties, and more.

Since it's a space designed for families, plenty of baby chairs were on hand.

Opus240 menu and how the unlimited salad bar works

Here's Opus240's menu. Order one item per person — pizza, pasta, risotto, pilaf, or steak — and the salad bar is unlimited! Pasta starts at ₩13,000, risotto from ₩22,000, bacon pilaf from ₩13,000, so it's an extremely good-value buffet where you can eat as much as you like. *Preschool children under 36 months have a separate ₩7,000 usage fee.

The salad bar is set up in the central hall. It was a weekday lunch, and under soft lighting, all the tasty food was neatly laid out.

What was on the Opus240 salad bar

Sliced bread and dinner rolls you can toast yourself,

soup and miyeok-guk (seaweed soup) plus rice were there too. Salad, pumpkin salad, potato salad,

tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and grilled mushrooms, chicken nuggets — all really good.

French fries, kimmari (fried seaweed rolls), takoyaki,

and salad flakes in several varieties too.

Water is self-serve, and the baby tableware was set up beautifully clean. One thing to note — unlike other buffets, soda has to be ordered separately here.

Bacon cream pasta 18,000 won and bacon pilaf 13,000 won at Opus240

We ordered bacon cream pasta and bacon pilaf, and piled our plates generously with a bit of everything from the salad bar.

The soup with croutons was really delicious too!

With the pilaf and pasta arriving on top of a table already full from the salad bar! It was so hearty and the food was honestly much better than I expected — surprised me! Can you spot the tteokbokki at the bottom, haha? I'm a huge tteokbokki lover.

The bacon cream pasta was so, so good! The thick, rich sauce paired perfectly with just-right-cooked pasta, and that distinct savory cream flavor was solid!

This bacon cream pasta nails that thick, rich texture perfectly. The portion was generous and the ingredients weren't skimped on at all — I really enjoyed it. A cream pasta kids would love too! Full marks!

The bacon pilaf was way better than expected, haha. It made me think of our youngest and got me a little sad. Sigh, next time let's come together... The sweet, savory sauce was stir-fried perfectly, and the rice was moist and delicious. A menu and flavor perfectly tailored to kids' tastes! Play in the playroom, then eat! And mom and dad get to chat away! Oh, come to think of it, this could give off a bit of a kids-café vibe too — but the food is legit.

Spreading jam on toast, and enjoying mil-tteokbokki (wheat rice cake tteokbokki) alongside the pasta!!! Popular tteokbokki that anyone would love! I lost myself in it for a moment, haha. It felt like being treated to a hearty meal at someone's first-birthday party, or delicious food at a party or event. Piled my plate high with everything I'd been craving! Left completely stuffed!!!
