Non-alcoholic drink date at a Euljiro3-ga restaurant: Pyu Euljiro

In short

Pyu Euljiro is a roughly 70-pyeong Western restaurant on the first floor inside the Tower107 building, a short walk from Euljiro3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Two of us ordered charcoal octopus with romesco for 34,000 won, truffle mushroom risotto for 26,000 won and the non-alcoholic drink gyulrurara for 12,500 won, and the creamy risotto paired especially well with the springy charcoal-grilled octopus. Since a non-alcoholic order satisfies Pyu Euljiro's dinner drink rule, it works well as an Euljiro date spot even for people who don't drink.

Where is Pyu Euljiro?

Pyu Euljiro is a Western restaurant at 27 Mareunnae-ro, 1st floor, unit 102, Jung-gu, Seoul, within walking distance of Euljiro3-ga Station. You can't see the storefront right from the main road — you have to go inside the Tower107 building — so if it's your first visit, it's easier to navigate by the building name.

I was looking for a nice-vibe spot around Euljiro and ended up at Pyu PHEW! It looked clean in photos, and walking in, the inside was actually pretty spacious with a calm atmosphere, great for a long meal and conversation. This time we ordered charcoal octopus and romesco, truffle mushroom risotto, and the non-alcoholic drink gyulrurara haha.

Parking at Tower107 and Pyu Euljiro's house rules

You can use the Tower107 underground parking lot — the first hour is free, and additional fees kick in after that, so keep that in mind if you're driving. For dinner, ordering a drink is required, and that can be house wine or a non-alcoholic option. Table use is capped at 2 hours after you're seated.

What is the 70-pyeong dining room like?

Pyu Euljiro is said to be about 70 pyeong, and once you're inside it's clearly bigger than a typical Euljiro restaurant. Walking further into the building, you reach Pyu, and everything from the entrance onward felt clean and polished.

The interior leans heavily on light wood tones, giving it a warm but tidy feel, and with a lot of white and beige throughout, photos came out clean too.

I ended up taking quite a few photos — the seats aren't crowded in one spot but spread out along a long layout, so it never felt cramped. There was a range of seating from window-side tables to ones further in, and the spacing between tables was generous.

It's not a loud, packed atmosphere but more suited to a slow meal and conversation, which makes it a good fit for anyone looking for an Euljiro date spot. The menu also isn't a typical Italian lineup of just pasta and risotto — there's a variety of dishes built around different ingredients, so it was fun just browsing the menu.

What two people ordered at Pyu Euljiro, and the prices

What we ordered at Pyu Euljiro: charcoal octopus and romesco for ₩34,000, truffle mushroom risotto for ₩26,000, and gyulrurara for ₩12,500. The charcoal octopus and romesco is grilled octopus with a smoky char paired with spicy romesco sauce; the truffle mushroom risotto uses three kinds of mushrooms cooked three different ways; gyulrurara is a low-sugar non-alcoholic drink made with tangerine, yuzu, and lemongrass.

Between the two of us we shared two mains and one drink.

How does the truffle mushroom risotto taste?

The truffle mushroom risotto came out first. Even in photos you can see a good amount of mushroom, and eating it, you keep biting into mushroom pieces mixed through the rice.

According to the menu description, it's made with three kinds of mushrooms cooked three different ways, and you could tell — some mushrooms were soft, others still had some bite to them. Overall it was creamy and rich, with the truffle aroma coming through.

It wasn't a runny, watery risotto — the rice grains held onto the sauce properly, so it was satisfying to scoop up with a spoon haha. There were several thin slices of topping on top too, which added some texture variation as you ate.

I personally like mushroom or truffle dishes, so between the two mains I kept reaching for the risotto more. The sauce was smooth and nutty, which made it easy to alternate with a stronger-flavored dish like the grilled octopus.

How was the charcoal octopus with romesco?

The second dish out was the charcoal octopus and romesco. Red romesco sauce lined the plate with a big chunk of grilled octopus sitting on top!

Char marks visible on the surface of the octopus

The octopus wasn't just grilled plain — it came with sauce and vegetables layered in, so the plating looked nice too. The surface had those deep char marks from the grill, and cut into bite-sized pieces, the inside was tender and chewy rather than tough.

Dragging the octopus through plenty of sauce was especially good — the romesco was a bit spicy with a deep flavor that really brought out the clean taste of the octopus itself.

Looking at the photos I thought the sauce might taste pretty strong, but eating it with the octopus, it was actually a perfect match. The leg pieces had more chew to them, so I'd recommend taking your time with those.

Gyulrurara, the non-alcoholic tangerine drink

For the drink, I picked gyulrurara — the name alone was cute haha. It's a non-alcoholic drink with tangerine, yuzu, and lemongrass, and it comes out with that yellow tint you see in the photos. Taking a sip, the tart tangerine and yuzu flavors hit first, with a light lemongrass note lingering at the end.

I expected a low-sugar drink to taste a bit flat, but it had plenty of tartness, so it worked well alongside the food. Especially after eating something creamy like the risotto, one sip felt like it reset my palate — glad we ordered it. For people who don't drink alcohol, having a dedicated non-alcoholic option like this makes menu picking a lot easier on an Euljiro date.

Is Pyu Euljiro worth it? Final verdict

Pyu PHEW felt better suited to a day when you want to eat at a relaxed pace and chat, rather than a quick in-and-out meal. The space is wide, the seating has good spacing, and the overall atmosphere is bright and clean, so it seemed like a good pick for a date or a get-together with friends.

Of everything we ate, the truffle mushroom risotto — creamy with plenty of mushroom — stood out the most, and the charcoal octopus was great too, with the chewy octopus paired with that spicy romesco sauce. On top of that, having a non-alcoholic option like gyulrurara to sip on instead of alcohol made it a solid pick from lunch through dinner.

If you're looking for an Euljiro spot with a different vibe than the usual grilled-meat joints or old-school taverns, or an Euljiro date place where the food and atmosphere both matter, this one's worth a visit haha.
