Keto tuna, fried tofu, spicy fish cake gimbap trio: 29 Tamago Euljiro
In short
29 Tamago Euljiro Branch is a 2nd-floor keto and fusion gimbap (seaweed rice roll) shop in Jung-gu, Seoul, less than 5 minutes from Exit 12 of Euljiro3-ga Station. The writer took out three rolls — keto tuna, fried tofu, and spicy fish cake — with dipping sauces, and the keto tuna won first place, packed enough to convert even someone who used to find rice-free keto gimbap gritty. Recommended for anyone in Euljiro looking for a diet-friendly lunch gimbap.

Today I'm bringing you a takeout story from 29 Tamago, a healthy but genuinely tasty lunch spot in Euljiro3-ga that I really want to recommend.

29 Tamago Euljiro Branch really has great access — it's less than 5 minutes from Euljiro3-ga Station Exit 12. Walk straight up, and once you spot the Mega Coffee, head up to the 2nd floor.

The entrance isn't super eye-catching, so if you found this little standing sign, you've come to the right place 😎
Once you head up the stairs, you'll find a cutely decorated space.
They also have a waiting area in case there's a line. It was bigger and more comfortable than I expected, and there's a bar table by the window that looked great for solo diners too.
Honestly, when I want something fresh I usually just order delivery, but this time I went to pick up in person. When I order delivery I never think to take photos, so they're always a bit haphazard 🥲

Menu lineup and how to order
The menu is simply organized into keto gimbap, fusion gimbap, and Vietnamese-wrap gimbap, and you order at the kiosk.

If you're curious about prices, I took photos of everything, so scroll through the menu shots to check 😉 I always end up eating right away so I never get to try the sides — next time I want to try the sides in-store too 💗

If you write a receipt photo review, they'll give you a free drink — worth doing if you're interested.

It's not a shop with a lot of staff, so water and other essentials are self-serve.

Every corner has cute little props, so there's fun in just looking around — it's the kind of cozy detail that puts you in a good mood.
How was the packaging?
They packed everything carefully, so off I went, straight home.

The packaging was very neat, and even at a glance you could tell the gimbap fillings were packed full.

Now let's actually dig in 😋

They give you a dipping sauce matched to each gimbap by default, and it's labeled which sauce goes with which roll, so it was easy to tell them apart.
Keto tuna gimbap, ₩10,500

First, my personal favorite — the keto tuna gimbap. I've actually tried keto gimbap a few times before, but without rice, it always felt gritty and disjointed in my mouth as a carb-lover, so it wasn't easy to get into 🥹
But 29 Tamago's keto gimbap is packed full inside, with thick, soft egg, and the outside is wrapped in a Vietnamese rice paper wrap that gives it a chewy, rice-cake-like texture — absolutely delicious. If it's gimbap like this, I could do this diet every single day 🥺❤️

It was already delicious on its own thanks to the nutty tuna mayo, but dipping it in the slightly salty soy sauce added a different, tasty twist.
Fried tofu gimbap, sweetness is the point

Next up, one of the fusion gimbap — the fried tofu gimbap, packed full of crispy stir-fried fried tofu (yubu).

With so much fried tofu, eating it plain gave off a pleasant, not-too-much sweetness, and I found myself thinking this would go really well with buldak (fire chicken) — lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol.
Spicy fish cake gimbap, ₩9,000 — spicier than expected

This one's the spicy fish cake gimbap. Honestly I thought it'd just be red fish cake that's spicy in name only, but it was surprisingly quite spicy — that caught me off guard. If you like spicy gimbap, this one will definitely hit your taste 🙃

I also tried these gimbap dipped in the wasabi mayo that came with them, and I felt the fried tofu gimbap especially, with its sweetness, paired really well with the slightly kicky wasabi mayo sauce.
Which of the three came out on top?
Out of all the varieties, first place still goes to the keto tuna — a gimbap that changed the mind of even someone like me who used to be put off by keto gimbap. If you're looking for a diet or meal-plan lunch spot in Euljiro3-ga, this is the Euljiro lunch place I want to recommend.
