Yeonnam-dong late-night café with fig mugwort chiffon sando: Noknok

Today's post is about Noknok, a bakery café in Yeonnam, Seoul that's also a great large café for getting work done 🧡 I went out to Yeonnam alone to work and was looking for a café, and this is what I found ☕️

Where is Noknok in Yeonnam-dong, and what are the hours?

Noknok is located inside the Yeonnam-dong café street. It's open daily from 8:30 AM to 11:30 PM, so I love that it stays open late 🫶🏻

Noknok is a large café on the Yeonnam-dong café street with both a 1st and 2nd floor! Even the exterior has such a nice vibe ☕️

For takeout, an iced americano is only ₩1,900 ❗️❗️ I had no idea there was such a good-value café in Yeonnam-dong 🫢 I'll definitely get coffee to go next time haha

Noknok's first floor: seating and power outlets

This is the view right as you walk in through the 1st floor entrance! You can tell right away it's spacious and clean 😊 There are plenty of seats so you don't need to worry about finding one 👍🏻

This is the overall vibe of the 1st floor! The black and green accents are exactly my style 💚 There are outlets scattered everywhere, so it's a great café for working! I'd recommend it for anyone doing café-work in Yeonnam-dong 👍🏻👍🏻

If you go out the automatic door on the left side of the 1st floor building, there are stairs up to the 2nd floor, and there's a cute cactus tucked in between the stairs so I took a photo haha 📸📸 I also liked that the 1st and 2nd floors are completely separate 🫶🏻

Is Noknok's second floor better for working?

The 2nd floor has a cozy white and wood-toned vibe! It has less personality than the 1st floor, but it seems more suited for actually working. The 2nd floor also has a lot of open space, which felt nice and airy 💪🏻💪🏻 On both floors there were lots of people working or studying, so overall it felt quiet and cozy ☺️ If you're looking for a large café for café-work in Yeonnam or Hongdae, I think this is a perfect fit haha

What's on the Noknok menu and bakery shelves?

They have such a wide variety of drinks, from coffee to smoothies 🫶🏻 I spent a long time deciding what to order!

You order at the kiosk! There are 4 kinds of cake and every single one looks delicious 🤤

As a proper bakery café, Noknok also has a wide variety of bread 😍 Salt bread, financiers, croissants and more — there's plenty for both a meal and a dessert 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Since I was there alone to work, I made sure to properly order both coffee and dessert 😋

How the vanilla latte and fig mugwort chiffon sando taste

The vanilla latte has that classic sweet, strong-coffee vanilla latte taste, which is exactly what I like 😍 The kind of vanilla latte flavor everyone would enjoy!! The fig mugwort chiffon sando has a subtle mugwort (ssuk) aroma from the chiffon that's really lovely, and the cream and figs on top go so well together 🩷 The combination is great, and with the fruit on top, the otherwise dense cake felt lighter and fresher — I really enjoyed it 🤤

For anyone in Hongdae or Yeonnam looking for a large café that's open late and good for working, I fully recommend this one 👍🏻👍🏻 Both the dessert and coffee are delicious, and the atmosphere is great too!
