Wine-scented Louis Wolju tea at Suwolgyeonghwa, a Songjeong tea café

There's a café in Songjeong, Busan with such a good atmosphere that I went back — the traditional teas and desserts were so good I had to return.

Where is Suwolgyeonghwa, and where do you park?

Suwolgyeonghwa, this Songjeong café in Busan, is an ocean-view spot just a minute's walk from Songjeong Beach — a perfect stop if you're already out and about in Songjeong. There's a parking lot on the building's 1st floor, so it's fine to drive over, and even if it's full there's plenty of free parking nearby, so I never felt inconvenienced.

Suwolgyeonghwa serves premium loose-leaf tea, coffee, and traditional desserts alongside a great atmosphere — the drinks and desserts are so good that we came back for a second visit.

Even the entrance is gorgeous. You can use both the 3rd and 4th floors, and you order on the 4th floor.

Where to order: the 4th-floor counter and kiosk

As soon as you step onto the 4th floor of this Songjeong café, you see the counter, where you can read detailed descriptions of the premium tea leaves and even see the actual leaf shapes before choosing.

You can order directly at the counter or use the kiosk for easy ordering, but since there's such a wide variety of teas, coffees, and desserts, it's easier to check the menu board next to it first before ordering.

Suwolgyeonghwa's menu ranges from a premium tea collection to coffee, traditional teas and tarak-cha (milk tea), and traditional desserts, so you can order to your taste — and even first-timers won't have trouble, since everything is explained in detail.

The 4th-floor picture windows and ocean-view seating

The 4th floor of Suwolgyeonghwa has a floor-to-ceiling window with a gorgeous ocean view — Songjeong Beach looks absolutely stunning, the view is a work of art.

Window seats are the most popular, but there are also bar tables and two-person tables further inside, so wherever you sit you get a good sea view and an open, airy feel — the atmosphere is really wonderful.

It's especially gorgeous for photos when the Mipo Beach Train passes by along the coast — if you're visiting Songjeong, this feels like a café you have to stop at.

Traditional interior and the 3rd-floor space

As a café selling premium and traditional teas, Suwolgyeonghwa's interior brings out an old-fashioned atmosphere really well, with plenty of details to look at throughout.

There's also a separate space in the back with a pretty circular doorway — it turned out to be where they sell tea.

There's such a wide variety of teas that it seems like a great spot to try one while visiting Songjeong and buy some as a souvenir to take home.

The 3rd floor's atmosphere is amazing too, haha.

We went on a weekend, and it was so crowded that it was hard to take photos overall — but there's a wide bar table in the middle, with floor seating and table seating on either side, all decorated with elegant traditional furniture, making it a space that really suits the tea.

When our drinks and dessert arrived, the visuals were insane! There's no way you can not take a photo the moment you see it, haha.

The Dalbodeure box in particular is a must-order dessert here — I'm not usually a huge fan of traditional Korean sweets, but this one was genuinely delicious!

What does Louis Wolju tea taste like?

My order was the Louis Wolju tea.

They give you a card with detailed information about the tea you ordered, which was a nice touch.

Tasting it, I liked the subtle wine aroma that filled my mouth, and the soft, slightly sweet finish was charming.

What does gabae-ole taste like?

My husband ordered the iced gabae-ole, and it was nutty and smoothly delicious.

What's inside the Dalbodeure box?

The Dalbodeure box came with gamtae-myeongnan (seaweed and pollack roe) financier, whole red bean butter monaka and ganache monaka, black rice sulbbang (a sweet bread), and injeolmi (rice cake) skewers — everything had a rich, deep nuttiness alongside the sweetness, and I enjoyed all of it. If you're looking for a Songjeong café in Busan with a great atmosphere, Suwolgyeonghwa is one you have to visit.
