What kind of café is Hongrad Suwon Station Branch?
This time I stopped by Hongrad Suwon Station Branch after work — it has such a distinctive vibe. It's a great Suwon Station spot to relax at after a meal with friends nearby.

They already have quite a few branches around Suwon, so it's famous enough that basically everyone from Suwon knows this aesthetic café.

How to find Hongrad behind Suwon Tax Office
The way to Hongrad Suwon Station Branch runs through a quiet alley behind Suwon Tax Office, so it was a really relaxed walk over.

Inside Hongrad Suwon Station Branch: interior and sofa seats
Stepping inside, it felt so much like New York that I couldn't help but be impressed.

It's not the usual generic feel at all — this place has its own hip, distinctive atmosphere that stayed charming the whole time I was there.

The pretty little props scattered around the store really showed off the owner's stylish sense and taste.

Looking at the sleek decor items and vintage posters on the walls was so fun that I ended up wandering around for quite a while.

Overall the chic, modern black-toned furniture was calmly arranged, giving off a really polished first impression.

My personal favorite part was that there are so many plush sofa seats, comfortable enough to sit in for a long time.

It's such an appealing Suwon Station café for quietly relaxing a tired mind after a busy day.
Hongrad Suwon Station Branch menu and the receipt-review pin badge
The Hongrad brownie, with its cute texture I'd seen so often in pretty photos on Instagram, is the signature menu item here.

This is also a place famous for other desserts, including the sweet ex-boyfriend toast and crispy croffle.

Here's a visit tip: if you leave a receipt review, you can get a cute cat or dog pin badge.

Waiting for our food while browsing all the colorful decor around the store, time flew by without me even noticing.

Behind the chic surface, there's a cute, charming side too, which made the place feel even more special.
What to order on a weekday evening at Hongrad
Since it was a weekday evening before work the next day, we went with something light — a decaf americano, a coconut latte, and a Basque cheesecake.

As soon as the drinks arrived at the table, I was surprised by how generous the portions were. Not a tiny sip-sized amount at all — great for taking your time.

Basque cheesecake, 7.5
I happily agonized for a while between the brownie and the Basque cheesecake, and finally went with the cheesecake.

Scooping a soft forkful and taking a bite, it was truly dense and melted in my mouth — a perfectly textured Basque cheesecake.

It's just as good as places that specialize in this dessert and really nails the basics, so I kept reaching for my fork again and again.

That dense yet creamy texture paired perfectly with the coffee — I'd call this a certified dessert spot.
Decaf americano, 5.5
I liked that I could go with a decaf americano and drink it without any worry, even that late on a weekday evening. Even though it's decaf beans, I was genuinely surprised at how rich and flavorful it was — every bit as good as regular coffee.

Not just the desserts but the coffee itself is so good at Hongrad, so I'll definitely keep coming back as a regular.
Coconut latte, 6.5
The cool coconut latte we also ordered looked so sweet and delicious from the moment it arrived, and I had high expectations.

It tasted like a rich, sweet coconut coffee smoothie — cool and hearty, filling my mouth in the best way.

The sweet, fragrant coconut and the coffee's bitterness balanced perfectly, so it never got sickly — genuinely delicious. It's honestly in my top 3 coconut lattes I've ever had at any café.
