Guro Station Korean restaurant for noodle-wrapped bossam: The Jokbal
In short
The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch is a jokbal (pork trotter) and bossam (boiled pork) restaurant between Sindorim and Guro stations in Seoul, on the first floor of the Sindorim 3-cha Prugio apartment shopping arcade. For a daytime meal the writer skipped the jokbal and ordered the tender bossam at 38,000 won with a small jaengban-makguksu buckwheat noodle platter at 9,000 won, rolling the pork up in the noodles, and the meat stayed warm to the last piece. On a day when you want something softer than jokbal, The Jokbal's bossam and jaengban-makguksu pairing is the one to order.

Looking for something to eat around Sindorim, I ended up at The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch again! Jokbal (pork trotters) is the main thing here, but this time I was more drawn to the tender bossam, so I ordered bossam with jaengban-guksu (cold buckwheat noodle platter).

Warm meat plus tangy noodles together turned out to be a way better combo than I expected — this Sindorim spot really delivered haha.

Beyond jokbal, there's bossam, naengchae-jokbal (cold jokbal salad) and spicy grilled jokbal too, so it looked easy for a group to find something. We went with tender bossam + sweet-and-tangy jaengban-guksu!
Is the 38,000-won tender bossam as soft as the name says?

Jokbal just wasn't calling to me that day — I wanted bossam instead! I did wonder, is bossam okay for lunch? But it was totally the right call!!! There's a reason it's called "tender" bossam lol. The lean meat was moist and the fatty parts were soft to chew, so there was almost none of that dry, chalky feeling.

It's fine dipped in just salted shrimp sauce, but topping it with kimchi or dried radish adds a salty, crunchy note that kept me reaching for more.

On top of that, we got a small tasting portion of naengchae-jokbal (cold jokbal salad), and now I'm wondering if I should order the full thing next time — total winner!!

What I really liked was that it stayed warm throughout the meal, so the bossam didn't lose its edge even by the last piece. I could see why recent reviews kept mentioning how warm it stays. Seriously... can you tell how tender it looks from the photos?
Is jaengban-makguksu worth adding to the bossam?

The jaengban-guksu we ordered with the bossam! Tangy-sweet sauce plus vegetables — one bite of meat, one bite of noodles, and my palate felt completely reset.
I wondered if it would even go with bossam, but it matched way better than expected — genuinely surprised me haha.

My favorite part was rolling the bossam up in the noodles and eating them together lol. Plain, mild meat plus the noodle sauce — I just kept going back for more.
So if you're planning a bossam trip while looking for good food around Sindorim, I'd recommend ordering the jaengban-guksu alongside it. It's the perfect combo for days when jokbal isn't quite it but something tender is calling you, haha.
Final verdict on The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch
The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch is a jokbal specialist, but the bossam absolutely holds its own as a main dish here. The soft, warm bossam paired with the tangy-sweet jaengban-guksu was a great combo, and the place was clean enough to work well for a family meal or a Sindorim work dinner.

If you're between Guro and Sindorim stations craving bossam or jokbal and looking for good food in the area, this one's worth keeping in mind!
