Solo-friendly window seats at a Cheonan pork cutlet restaurant: Jinsim
In short
Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang is a Korean-style pork cutlet restaurant in Buldang-dong, Cheonan. From a window seat, the writer ate a set of wang donkatsu (giant breaded pork cutlet) with spicy-sweet jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles) and cream soup, and the crust crackled at the first cut over thick, juicy meat. With a wide hall that suits solo diners and groups alike, Jinsim Wang Donkatsu is a solid pick for a hearty meal in Cheonan.

Today I'm introducing a new hotspot in Buldang-dong, Cheonan, and the ultimate in crunch: Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang. As someone who loves everything from old-school Korean-style pork cutlet to thick Japanese katsu, this was a place I simply couldn't pass by. I went in person and came back having tasted the ultimate crispness and a spicy-sweet charm that filled my mouth. Here's my mouth-watering, on-the-spot review!!
Where is Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang, and what are the hours?
Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang is on the 1st floor at 26 Buldang34-gil, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Even the storefront exterior gives off a clean, polished vibe.

Just like the phrase on the sign — "made with sincerity" (진심을 담은) — my expectations for the taste shot up on the spot. The parking and location are also easy to access, so it was simple to find.
I'd definitely recommend checking the hours before you visit. It's open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a break time from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and last order at 8:30 p.m. — please keep this in mind!!
A wide hall with window seats that make solo dining easy
Walking into Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang, a spacious, comfortable hall greets you. The window seats are open and airy, great for solo dining, and the tables are spaced generously, making conversation easy too.

Warm wood-toned tables paired with mood lighting make for a comfortable dining atmosphere. The window seats feel open and breezy, great for eating solo, and just as good for chatting away over a meal with a group. The tables are spaced widely too, so conversation felt really comfortable.
What comes in the wang donkatsu, jjolmyeon and cream soup set
The set I got at Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang was a giant plate-filling wang donkatsu paired with spicy-sweet jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles) and smooth cream soup. After I sat down and finished ordering, a few moments later a spread so generous it made my eyes go wide was set down in front of me.

A giant plate-filling wang donkatsu, tteokbokki (spicy stir-fried rice cakes) with a spicy-sweet aroma hitting my nose, and smooth cream soup — a perfect lineup. Just looking at it made me swallow hard in anticipation.
How crunchy is the wang donkatsu? Sauce poured on or on the side
The star of the meal, the wang donkatsu, was fried so crisply that the moment the knife touched it, a bright 'crack' rang out. It's delicious even soaked in the house special sauce, and satisfies both the pour-it-on and dip-it-in crowds equally well. The sweet, savory, deeply flavorful sauce pairs fantastically with the crispy cutlet meat underneath.
Looking at the cross-section of the cutlet, the thickness of the meat and the juices seeping out moistly are a work of art. There's no dryness to be found anywhere — it melts softly in your mouth. You could genuinely taste the sincerity that went into using good ingredients and making it with care.
Spicy-sweet jjolmyeon that cuts through the richness
Just eating the cutlet alone can feel slightly rich, but the spicy-sweet jjolmyeon fills that gap perfectly. The chewy noodles are deeply soaked in tangy, spicy seasoning, so alternating a bite of crispy cutlet with a bite of spicy jjolmyeon creates an addictive combo you just can't stop eating. The crunch of the fresh vegetables mixed in adds even more variety to the texture.
