It's a cozy little neighborhood bakery, but honestly it tastes better than the famous big bakeries!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻

They stick to a baked-today, sold-today rule — makes sense, since business is so good there probably isn't any bread left over anyway haha

Inside the store, dashing in right at the 10am opening

Opening time is 10am, and I always rush to be there right when it opens haha. Since it had been a while since my last visit, there were breads I hadn't seen before!!! That's exactly why you need to keep coming back to Boulangerie Tan 👀

The moment I walk in, I sweep the display case with my eyes haha. Honestly I want to eat everything, how am I supposed to choose..!!!🥹

Three types of milk bread — the tangzhong one comes as a whole loaf

First, milk bread 🍞 for my daughter. There are 3 types, and they pack it for you on order! I chose the tangzhong milk bread, and since I came right at opening, they said the loaves had just come out and were too fresh to slice, so I got it as a whole loaf 😝

The popular baguette sandwich, plus a brunch-time discount

I think Boulangerie Tan's most popular item is definitely the sandwiches! Their baguette is genuinely delicious, and turning that into a sandwich just can't miss 🤍 During brunch time, from 10am to 2pm, you get a discount when you buy a sandwich plus coffee~!

This right here! The French baguette is genuinely delicious, you have to try it. It's Boulangerie Tan's signature 😉💕🥖 Even my mom raved about how good this baguette was haha

There are 4 types of salt bread, and it's currently buy 3 get 1 free, so salt bread lovers should grab one of each

Breads I saw for the first time — brioche morning roll and flan

And the breads I saw for the first time this visit! A brioche morning roll and a flan were both new to me. Since I'm an egg tart lover, I immediately grabbed the flan haha

There were also new financiers! But the price seemed kind of steep for the size, so I skipped it this time haha. Bookmarked ✔️ to try next visit.

I've never actually had coffee here, but since they use Fritz beans, I'm planning to try the coffee next time ☕️ There are notes on how to best enjoy each bread, worth checking out! Of course, eating it the same day it's baked is always the tastiest 😉

Even as I was leaving with my order, the place was still packed haha. The real ones always know! A steady stream of customers never letting up — isn't that the surest sign of how good the bread is? haha

My favorite carrot rapée sandwich 🥕. I'll never forget the day I first tried this sandwich... it was so! good! that I swore Boulangerie Tan was my one and only bakery from then on, haha

A deliciously packed sandwich stuffed generously inside a killer baguette 🥪🥪🥪 The amount of chicken is insane...? The combo of carrot rapée, chicken, and sauce is out of control ㅠㅠ Ugh... I want it again already!!!

It's fine to eat just half, but it's so good that I always finish the whole thing by myself haha. Besides the carrot rapée sandwich, the other sandwiches are genuinely delicious too — trust me and give them a try 🤍🤍

New menu item, the flan — crisp shell, soft-dense filling

The new flan! (I have no idea when it actually launched, but since I'm seeing it for the first time, it's new to me haha) The layered tart shell looks crisp just from looking at it, right? And it really is crisp when you bite in — and then the filling is so soft-dense and tender ㅠ How can one pastry have this many textures..? 👏👏👏

The filling layer is really thick too haha, it's a size that lives up to the price 🥐 It's an amazing combo with milk or iced Americano, so give it a try 🙂
