Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Wonju Enterprise City Branch is a well-known Wonju Enterprise City restaurant — a good-value BBQ spot with a playroom.

When you're eating out with a kid, the taste of the meat matters, but honestly, having a space where kids can play comfortably matters just as much haha. This time we went for the meat and ended up with our kid having a blast too, at Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Wonju Enterprise City Branch.

The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, and there's a huge playroom too — perfect for a family meal out! With plenty of meat cuts to choose from, I think this place is worth checking out whether you're looking for a Wonju Enterprise City restaurant or a Wonju BBQ spot to bring your kids to!

The vibe and the seating

There are tables set up right in front of the playroom, so the flow works perfectly if you're with kids. Of course there are also plenty of seats further away from the playroom :)

There's also private room seating for group gatherings. If you want a good-value BBQ meal out, Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang is a strong recommendation!

Aged pork half-platter, 500g — what cuts do you get?

What we ordered was the aged pork half-platter, 500g! It's a set that lets you taste several cuts at once — samgyeopsal (pork belly), ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly), mokssal (pork neck), hangjeongsal (pork jowl), and gabrisal (pork shoulder blade).

A whole row of side dishes gets set out like at a hanjeongsik (Korean set-meal) restaurant, and on top of that the doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) is unlimited refill! This is definitely a generous, good-value BBQ place :-)

Sometimes it's a bit disappointing to eat just one cut, but with this many kinds coming out, there's real fun in picking and choosing haha.

Grilled to a nice golden brown, it was savory with plenty of juiciness, whether wrapped in lettuce or dipped lightly in salt — eating it with all the sides, my chopsticks just kept going back 👍🏻

Is 500g enough? We ended up adding more samgyeopsal

This kind of set is especially great if your family loves meat. At first I wondered if 500g would be enough, but as we kept eating, it turned out not to be, haha.

So in the end, we added more samgyeopsal! You can't come for BBQ and just skip the samgyeopsal 😂 We tried a variety of cuts from the aged pork half-platter, then topped it off with extra samgyeopsal, and ended up properly full. Given the spread and the portions, this place is definitely good value!

After the meat, mul naengmyeon

You can't skip naengmyeon (cold noodles) after BBQ, right, haha. So we ordered a mul naengmyeon (cold noodle soup) too — taking a chilled bite between mouthfuls of meat really cleans up the palate! Meat and naengmyeon together is such a great combo. Even while saying we're full, somehow there's always room for naengmyeon, ha — such a strange phenomenon. Meat, then naengmyeon, is the perfect way to close out a meal at a Wonju BBQ spot!

Just how big is the playroom?

And this is the biggest reason this place won me over as a family meal spot — the playroom is genuinely huge. We came for the meat, but the kids ended up more interested in the playroom than the food, ha.

Usually restaurant playrooms are on the small side, but this one is bigger than expected, so kids can play to their hearts' content. Thanks to that, the adults get to eat meat while the kids play in the playroom! Having a space like this really makes eating out with kids so much easier. So if you're looking for a Wonju Enterprise City restaurant to visit with your kids, this one is especially recommended!

After filling up on meat and naengmyeon, we wrapped things up with soft-serve ice cream 🍦 The kids loved it so much, haha. Ending the meal with ice cream after all that meat felt like the perfect finish! With a spacious playroom and dessert too, this is a great Wonju BBQ spot to visit as a family!

Overall thoughts

Overall, the restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable, so even with a group it never felt cramped, and above all, the playroom being so big made it a top choice for a family meal out. We tried a wide variety with the aged pork half-platter — samgyeopsal, ogyeopsal, mokssal, hangjeongsal, gabrisal — and even after adding more samgyeopsal because it wasn't quite enough, we still left feeling well fed and satisfied, haha.

If you want to try a variety of meat cuts, or you're looking for a Wonju Enterprise City restaurant where you can eat comfortably with your kid, or a Wonju BBQ spot with a playroom, this place is worth a visit. Especially if you're after samgyeopsal in Wonju Enterprise City — eat meat, let the kids play in the playroom, then finish with soft-serve ice cream!
