Songdo chicken noodle soup after outlet shopping: Eonyang Dak Kalguksu
In short
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is a chicken kalguksu (chicken noodle soup) and dak gomtang (chicken rice soup) restaurant on Haedoji-ro in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. After a morning at the Songdo outlet mall (Songhyeona), the writer came for weekend lunch and ordered the 11,000 won dak kalguksu, a dak gomtang and one extra bowl of rice, and the rich broth came with a whole large chicken drumstick in it. When cold winds call for deep chicken broth, Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is the answer.

On such a gorgeous day, after playing hard all morning at Songhyeona, I got hungry and headed to this dak kalguksu (chicken noodle soup) spot! I've been here a few times before, and honestly the taste is one that keeps coming to mind more and more as time passes and the weather cools down. So rich, so chewy, just the best!

Where is Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Songdo, and where do you park?
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Songdo, a solid Songdo restaurant, sits on the first floor of a commercial building across from Songdo The Sharp Harbor View Complex 14, in the area near the private academies. Parking is in the basement lot, and there's plenty of wide space! Park comfortably and off you go for something delicious. Such an exciting moment, haha!

What the Songdo restaurant looks like at weekend lunch
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Songdo has a really spacious interior, so it was nice that you could sit anywhere and eat comfortably. We came for weekend lunch and the place was packed — only about two tables were left open. A genuine Songdo hotspot with the crowds to prove it!

Self-serve kimchi bar and the menu at Eonyang Dak Kalguksu
The self-serve bar in the restaurant has two kinds of kimchi — spicy and mild — so you can grab whichever suits you. For someone like me who can't handle spice, the spicy kimchi was seriously spicy! As for the menu and prices at this Songdo restaurant, there's dak kalguksu, dak gomtang, jjimdak (braised chicken), and all sorts of chicken dishes. There's also boiled pork, plus sides like extra chicken or double portions, so even a single bowl can leave you full and satisfied!

Chicken kalguksu, 11,000 won with a whole drumstick
You order at the kiosk, and not long after, the first dish arrived — dak kalguksu! It comes in a huge bowl, absolutely brimming, and just looking at it brings back memories of that rich broth. The thick, rich broth held a giant whole chicken drumstick, plus a heap of noodles! Getting such a generous bowl for 11,000 won is amazing. Order one extra bowl of rice on the side and you'll be stuffed in the best way!

The big drumstick was so tender, moist, and soft that just holding the bone made the meat fall right off. The noodles looked super chewy too, loaded in, and mixing the noodles with the broth was such a great combo of chewiness and richness!

The broth was so refreshing and warm that I sipped it first, and it was delicious. Add the chewy noodles and crunchy napa cabbage kimchi on top, and it's a lunch you'd envy nothing else for! No wonder the place is always packed!

Chicken kalguksu or dak gomtang: how the broths differ
Second dish: dak gomtang (chicken rice soup)! The difference between the two is noodles versus rice, but the broth also differs slightly in taste. Dak kalguksu is richer, while dak gomtang is a bit lighter with a peppery note — a deep flavor of its own. I'd say dak kalguksu's broth is a touch heavier.

Inside the dak gomtang, a whole bowl of rice is already mixed in, so the rice soaking up the broth makes it even more savory and delicious! We ordered an extra bowl of rice to share, and they really pack it in generously!

Even without mixing it yourself, having the rice already in the broth makes it perfect for spooning up bite after bite! When the chilly wind starts blowing, this is exactly what comes to mind — Eonyang Dak Kalguksu! This fall and winter, I'll be stamping my feet here every day when it's cold, eating my heart out!

The dak gomtang also had a big drumstick, and the broth was rich too — I scraped up every last drop and left with a totally clean bowl. That's my style! Eonyang Dak Kalguksu, a Songdo, Incheon restaurant to visit daily once it turns chilly — the noodles are great, the rice is great, the kimchi is great. Go enjoy a hearty, delicious meal here! It's seriously so good!
