One-touch tent setup by QR video at a Mangwon picnic rental: Picnic
In short
Picnic List Mangwon is a picnic gear rental shop near the main entrance of Mangwon Han River Park in Mapo, Seoul. The shop's 3-ITEM COMBO SET — tent, wood table and camping chair — costs 10,000 won and comes loaded on a wagon you pull straight to your spot, where a Han River picnic of convenience-store sesame ramen and shrimp crackers rounded out the day. It was a first time with a one-touch tent, but the QR code video guide made setting up and packing away easy; only a cushion and a picnic mat were missing from the set.

These days, whenever the weather's nice I just want to get outside 🌿 You don't even need to travel far — the Han River alone gives you a proper outing vibe, so I've been going for Han River picnics at Mangwon a lot lately. This time I went for another Mangwon Han River picnic, and instead of lugging all my own gear, I rented what I needed — so much easier. The place I used was Picnic List Mangwon.

It's close to the main entrance of Mangwon Han River Park, so getting to the river was easy, and since you can grab a tent, table and chair all at once, it seemed like a solid option for anyone doing their first Mangwon Han River picnic.

What comes in the Picnic List Mangwon 3-ITEM COMBO SET, and what it costs
What I chose was Picnic List Mangwon's 3-ITEM COMBO SET — tent, wood table, and camping chair, all for ₩10,000. Going for a Han River picnic secretly means a lot of prep, doesn't it? Picnic mat, camping chair, table, tent — pack it all yourself and your bags pile up fast, especially if you're taking public transit. So this time I rented picnic gear from Picnic List instead.
- ⛺ Tent
- 🪵 Wood table
- 🪑 Camping chair

All the gear came loaded on a wagon already, so moving it was super easy.

For ten thousand won you can set up the basic space you need for a picnic, so it was great for days when I just wanted to enjoy a low-key Mangwon Han River picnic. A tent alone completely changes the mood once you settle in by the river, and with a wood table and camping chair on top of that, it felt like a real picnic — way more than just spreading out a mat 🌿

Picking a spot at Mangwon Han River Park over a bowl of sesame ramen
Mangwon Han River Park is a popular spot for a Han River picnic on a nice day, since you can relax while looking out at the river. Especially with weather like this, even just sitting on a mat chatting over simple food feels like a proper outing. This time, since I'd rented the tent, table and camping chair, the space came together quite nicely once I set up by the river.

And of course, no Han River trip is complete without ramen. Boiled up some sesame ramen from the convenience store right nearby, and threw in a bag of shrimp crackers for good measure!

Even in photos, having the tent and wood table together really brought out the picnic mood 📸 Good for a trip with friends, a Mangwon Han River picnic date with a partner, or relaxed time with family. Best of all was not having to bring the gear myself — buying it all piece by piece is a whole project, isn't it? If you picnic often, I'd highly recommend renting from Picnic List Mangwon!

What to bring yourself: cushion, seat pad and picnic mat
The 3-ITEM COMBO SET alone was enough for a basic picnic setup, but after using it, I felt small items like a cushion or seat pad would be worth bringing personally. Between sitting in the camping chair and relaxing or lying down inside the tent, a small cushion would make a big difference — especially if you plan to sit for a while.
I'd also recommend bringing your own picnic mat for Mangwon Han River Park. Laying it inside the tent or around the table gives you more room to sit and makes it easier to set down snacks or bags.

Why renting a Han River tent beats buying one
One of the biggest headaches with a Han River picnic is the tent. If you don't own one but want to picnic at the Han River, buying one just for occasional use feels excessive. That's where renting only on the days you need it comes in. Picnic List had a set that included a Mangwon Han River tent, so I didn't have to prepare the tent, table and chair separately.

If it's your first time using a Mangwon Han River tent, renting a set seems much simpler than preparing each piece of gear on your own. Resting inside the tent, then sitting in the camping chair looking out at the river, with food laid out on the wood table — it made for a much more complete picnic space than I expected.

Is a one-touch tent easy to set up alone the first time?
Packing up was easy too, which raised my overall satisfaction. It was also my first time using a one-touch tent, but there was even a video guide via QR code for opening it — so no need to worry.

A day out: Mangwon Han River picnic plus Mangwon Market
After renting the gear myself, I realized you really don't need to overthink a Han River picnic. Preparing your own tent, table and chair means more bags and more cost, but renting on the day you need it keeps things fairly simple. With the 3-ITEM COMBO SET at ₩10,000, it seemed great for a casual Mangwon Han River picnic with friends or a partner. Add your own cushion, seat pad and a Mangwon Han River picnic mat, and you'll be even more comfortable. The mood really does change with a tent versus without one, so if you're planning to stay a while at the river, I'd recommend looking into a Mangwon Han River tent rental too.
On a nice day, traveling far is great, but packing light and heading to the Han River for a picnic makes for a pretty great day too 🌿 Especially if you grab food to go from Mangwon Market or around Mangwon-dong and pair it with a Mangwon Han River picnic, it makes for a perfect day trip. If you're wondering what to do this weekend, try the combo of a Mangwon Han River picnic plus Mangwon Market food 💚
