I went on an outing to Daehangno with my kid and wanted to add something a little different to the day, so we stopped by the famous Hero Board Game Cafe in Hyehwa, Daehangno haha. It had all kinds of board games plus pool, arcade machines, Nintendo, and tasty snacks, so here's my honest review after playing our hearts out there!

Hero Board Game Cafe Daehangno Branch is on the 2nd floor, 12 Daehangno 10-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, near Hyehwa Station. We went to watch a small theater show in Daehangno with my kid and dropped by here afterward to make some unusual memories^^
It's close to the subway station so getting there by public transport was really convenient, and there's plenty to see nearby, so it fit perfectly into a Daehangno outing route~

The moment we stepped through the entrance, the flashy, stylish interior caught my eye, and the space inside was way more spacious and open than I expected — I couldn't help but be impressed^^

They have private, room-style table spaces well set up, so it was a great environment to relax and play with my kid without worrying about people around us!

Overall the place was kept neat and clean, and each room had its tables and seats cozily arranged, making it a wonderful board game café in Hyehwa, Daehangno for spending quality time together^^

Board games even a kid can pick, plus free pool and arcade machines
At Hero Board Game Cafe Daehangno Branch, the board games are neatly sorted by difficulty and genre on the central shelves, and the pool table and arcade machines are free to use with no extra charge. After we were shown to our room, we went out to scope out the games in earnest, and there were way more than I imagined — it was a happy dilemma figuring out where to start~
They had everything from easy kids' board games to strategy games, and since you can easily check the rules through the instructions or a tablet, my kid could pick games without any pressure^^

And it's not just board games — one side of the store even has a pool table and nostalgic arcade machines, which was really cool!

Before board games, we tried pool together first, and my kid's eyes lit up with excitement holding the cue and hitting the balls^^ With so many free, extra-fee-free amenities to enjoy, there was never a dull moment at this board game café in Hyehwa, Daehangno~

We had a blast playing board games together with my kid^^

Hot dogs, popcorn, coffee, and smoothies ordered from the room tablet
At Hero Board Game Cafe Daehangno Branch, you can easily order food using the tablet in the room. We got hungry as we got deep into the games, so we ordered right away~

Looking at the menu, the variety was as good as any café or snack shop out there.
We ordered crispy, juicy hot dogs, popcorn with a savory sweet smell, plus coffee and smoothies^^

The freshly made, warm hot dog was so good the moment I bit into it, I couldn't help but sigh in delight hahaha

The crispy popcorn was the perfect finger food to munch on while playing board games!

Thanks to the delicious snacks, my kid's eyes and mouth were both happy, and we got fully recharged too. The food quality was so good that I'd say it's easily among the best board game cafés in Hyehwa, Daehangno~

Nintendo Switch Mario Kart, with the monitor brought right to our table
At Hero Board Game Cafe Daehangno Branch, you can bring the Nintendo Switch monitor over to your own table and play comfortably. After we'd had our fill of board games and arcade machines, we moved on to the Nintendo Switch~

Being able to bring the monitor right to our table and play comfortably was so nice^^

My kid and I picked our favorite, Mario Kart, and had a racing showdown. Holding the wheel controllers and steering this way and that like we were really driving, we enjoyed a thrilling race~! Laughing together and shouting with excitement, it was the best stress-relieving time ever^^
Overall thoughts on our Daehangno outing with my kid
This trip to Daehangno turned into a much richer, happier day than I expected thanks to Hero Board Game Cafe^^ It's a multi-play space where you can enjoy board games plus pool, arcade machines, and Nintendo Switch all in one spot — a really well-rounded experience!

The clean, hygienic room spaces, the kind staff service, and the top-notch tasty snacks — every element was a total success~ My kid was satisfied enough to bring up coming back again several times on the way home, saying how fun it was! I'd strongly recommend this board game café in Hyehwa, Daehangno for a date course with friends or a partner, and just as much for parents wanting to make special memories with their kids on the weekend^^
