All-day picnic gear rental pass at Mangwon Han River: Picnic List

Now that the weather's cooling down, it's honestly the perfect season for a Han River picnic 🍀 I went to Mangwon Han River Park myself recently! I was going to just throw down a mat and keep it simple, but since I was going anyway, I figured I'd do a proper picnic — so I rented a mat, tent, table, and everything else I needed all at once from Picnic List Mangwon, right in front of Mangwon Han River Park, haha.

Where is Picnic List Mangwon and how does renting work?

Picnic List Mangwon is located at 1 Mangwon-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul. What I loved most was the location! It's right at the entrance to Mangwon Han River Park, so renting gear and getting there was really convenient.

Once you rent a tent, mat, and chairs, the load gets pretty heavy, so renting somewhere close to the park makes a huge difference for how much walking back and forth you have to do. Picnic List Mangwon sits right before the entrance to Mangwon Han River Park, so personally I really liked the location.

I booked through Naver Reservation ahead of time! Naver booking is deposit-free, and you just pay at the shop when you arrive. The basic rental time is 3 hours, plus 1 more hour if you leave a Naver review! I went ahead and added ₩10,000 to upgrade to a day pass, haha. If the weather's nice and you don't want to be watching the clock, a day pass is definitely worth it if you're planning to stay a while.

Picnic mat and tent rental prices at Mangwon Han River Park

What I was most curious about while planning this Mangwon Han River picnic was, of course, the rental prices. Picnic List Mangwon lets you choose from several sets depending on what you need.

I also liked that you can just pick and choose only the items you need depending on the set.

I went with the 3-item combo set. ✔️ Shade tent + embossed mat + picnic mat + backrest chair + table, and I also brought along soap bubbles + a power bank + a tripod.

And if you're renting this much stuff, a wagon is genuinely essential...!!! We loaded everything onto a wagon to get there, and without it we probably would've been exhausted before even reaching the river ㅠㅠ Still, since Picnic List Mangwon is right at the entrance to Mangwon Han River Park, we only had to wheel the wagon a short distance, so even with a lot of gear it wasn't too much of a burden.

Tent hours and setup rules at Mangwon Han River Park

If you're planning to set up a tent or shade tent at Mangwon Han River Park, it's good to know the setup rules in advance! Tents are allowed from March through November, and you can have them set up until 7pm in March–May and September–November, and until 8pm in June–August. Mats, on the other hand, can be used anytime with no seasonal or time restrictions, so keep that in mind :)

Setting up both the shade tent and the mat together made things noticeably more comfortable. It felt less like just sitting down for a bit and more like an actual proper picnic, haha.

How the 3-item combo set worked on the grass

Honestly, a Han River picnic is fun enough with just some food you bought,,, but setting everything up properly like this added a whole other layer of fun for photos...🫶🏻 With a mat, table, and chairs, it was so easy to spread out delivery food or snacks! The tripod also made it easy to get good shots. And they even threw in soap bubbles as props, which was great for photos, haha. I seriously came home with a ton of pictures...!

For anyone like me who doesn't own any picnic gear, I think it's way more convenient to just rent everything you need in one go rather than gathering your own mat, tent, table, and chairs. Since I was renting so much anyway, I switched to the day pass and relaxed without watching the clock — personally, I was really satisfied, haha.
