On a Friday evening craving a hand-pressed burger, I headed to Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance, known as the burger spot picked by singer Kang Min-kyung.

It was a burger where the rich flavor of Korean beef patty and bacon met a thick, clingy sauce, and paired with the 18mm thick fries it made for a properly filling meal. It had been a while since I enjoyed a hand-pressed burger this much, so I wanted to recommend it both as a Sharosu-gil date spot and as a place to eat solo near Seoul National University Entrance.
Where is Daily Fix in Sharosu-gil, and was there a wait on Friday night?
Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance is about a 3-minute walk from Seoul National University Entrance Station, so it's easy to reach by public transit. It's a convenient stop if you have plans near Sharosu-gil or Gwanak-gu Office.

We visited together as a party of two around 7pm on a Friday. It was dinner time so the place was quite busy, but luckily there were still seats open, so we sat down without needing to wait.

Maybe because it's known as the burger place Kang Min-kyung raved about, there were a lot of couples and younger customers around. Beyond dine-in guests, delivery orders kept coming in too, which made it clear this is a popular restaurant.
Ordering at the table kiosk and adding ranch dipping sauce

With a kiosk at every table, it was convenient to check the menu and order right from our seats without flagging down staff. We ordered two sets of the bestselling bacon cheeseburger with thick fries and Sprite Zero, one for each of us.

We also added an extra ranch dipping sauce to go with the fries. Even though it was a busy time, our order came out faster than expected, so we didn't have to wait long to eat. Getting the food out that quickly during a hungry dinner hour felt especially welcome.

A knife and fork came along with the burger. Hand-pressed burgers are so packed with ingredients that eating with your hands can make things fall apart or sauce drip everywhere, right?
Being able to cut it into bite-sized pieces with the knife and fork made it much easier to eat.
How does the Korean beef patty in the bacon cheeseburger taste?
The bacon cheeseburger we'd been waiting for was a rich-style hand-pressed burger where the sauce was thick and clingy.

You could taste the salty bacon, the cheese, and the juicy Korean beef patty all together in one bite. The beef patty and bacon blended naturally within the sauce, creating a hearty, weighty flavor. The juiciness of the Korean beef patty in particular was different from a typical fast-food burger.

The bun was grilled just right, and the patty was cooked to just the right doneness with no off flavor, letting the savory, meaty aroma really come through.

Being able to cut the burger with a knife meant less mess from ingredients spilling out, and it was a taste that made clear why this is a burger spot popular for being Kang Min-kyung's pick!
18mm thick fries with ranch sauce and Sprite Zero

The thick fries I picked as a side are, true to the name, 18mm-thick cut fries. Unlike the thin fries I'm usually used to, the chunky shape stood out, and set next to the burger it made my mouth water.

Dipping the fries one by one into the extra ranch sauce I'd ordered, both ketchup and ranch had their own distinct appeal.

For drinks, we both chose Sprite Zero for both sets. It came served in an ice cup, which really set the mood. The soda paired well with the rich flavor of the bacon and sauce on the burger, and with the thick fries on top, it was plenty of food for a full dinner.
Better for a Sharosu-gil date or a solo dinner near the station?
Having visited in person, Daily Fix turned out to be a good spot for a light dinner date with friends or a partner over hand-pressed burgers. There were plenty of couples around, and since the food came out quickly, we didn't have to wait long for the meal.

If you like a hand-pressed burger where juicy Korean beef patty, bacon, and thick sauce come together, this is a place you'll be satisfied with! Enjoy a filling burger meal at Daily Fix, the Sharosu-gil favorite near Seoul National University Entrance Station picked by Kang Min-kyung.
