A retro charcoal-grill spot I visited with my mom last week ^^
It had been a while since I took my mom out for good meat, so we headed to Guwol-dong's Rodeo Street 💕 The weather was cool and I was craving BBQ, so we went straight to a place I'd noticed before with a green retro sign — Euljiro Charcoal Grill Guwol Branch!

Euljiro Charcoal Grill Guwol Branch is a charcoal BBQ restaurant right in the heart of Guwol-dong's Rodeo Street, at 18 Inha-ro 507beon-gil, Namdong-gu, Incheon. It's close to both Incheon Terminal Station and Yesulhoegwan Station, so it was super easy to find.

Inside, the old-school round tables gave off major retro energy! The place is spacious with lots of tables, so it looked great for group gatherings or company dinners too. Thanks to the retro atmosphere, my mom said it brought back memories and loved it.
She mentioned the music playing was exactly from that era too. I think it'd be a great spot to bring your mom or parents.
What we ordered: the pork-one-geun set and soybean stew
This place had value-priced pork belly and neck menu items too. 🍖 Looking at the menu, you could order by 100g, but since we wanted to try several cuts for a good deal, we ordered the 'pork-one-geun' set along with the essential side, soybean stew (doenjang jjigae)!
It had a nice pink color.

As soon as we ordered, the basic side dishes were set — seasoned perilla leaves and lettuce, plus frozen radish salad! It was crisp and refreshing, and paired amazingly with the meat. If you run low, you can refill guilt-free at the self-serve bar in the middle of the restaurant — great! They also had a sauce made with fermented anchovy sauce, garlic, and cheongyang chili peppers all mixed in 🔥
How do the six pork cuts taste over briquette fire?
Pork belly, neck, jowl, skirt meat, back meat, and pork skin — a set packed with variety, and the freshness of the meat was top notch!
There were also fresh green wrap vegetables, and bean sprout kimchi too.
They put the pork belly and neck on the charcoal grill first, and the subtle charcoal aroma gave the meat incredible savoriness... It was juicy and got more flavorful the more you chewed, crispy outside and tender inside!
The fire was strong so you had to grill quickly. There were plenty of side dishes too, so it never got boring ^^
The lettuce too~~~ tasted so good when I tried it.
We also ordered the soybean stew (doenjang jjigae), and it was really delicious.
Finally, we grilled the chewy pork skin nice and crisp over the charcoal and dipped it in savory bean powder, then finished off warmly with the bubbling soybean stew — absolute perfection!
